    Hey ladies and gents,
New to the forum. Owned my Tundra for 3ish years now, but I’m just now getting the nerves to do some mods. I apologize if this has been asked before but I’m looking to swap the grill on my 2017 TRD Off Road for the 2018 honeycomb style. I would like to keep the chrome hood bulge and surround, I’m a sucker for the old school chrome look. Reminds me of my old man’s truck growing up. Can anyone point me in the right direction. I’ve done some research and get confused when it comes to the emblems and if there is a sensor in it. I went and looked at the emblem on my truck currently and there are no wires running to it from the rear. I do have the parking sensors on my front and rear bumpers though. Anyone else done this and could you point me in the right direction for parts? I’m local to the Philly, PA area. I added a photo of my current grill. The 2017s do not the the TSS or that front sensor. Cools spring or sparks toyota parts can hook you up with what you need for the swap.

Honestly, if you are willing to wait. Members often have the honeycomb grille insert for sale. You can keep an eye on the marketplace or you can post a WTB (wanting to buy) post. Check the rules for marketplace before posting.
But as said above, you do not need to worry about the sensor in the emblem. You do have to pay attention to how it attaches, there were changes recently to emblem back design. But if you don't have a sensor, you could always glue whatever emblem in place. Here's a thread with a ton of info

    Welcome aboard.
Here is a 2017 with the empyre grille with my stock chrome. Is this what you're referencing? It's about $200 for one of these.

Okay correct me if I'm wrong, but the honeycomb grill is the same no matter what it just depends on what surround is on it (chrome vs color matched). I guess my big confusion is the emblem types. One appears to have a shiny clear "film" over it (like on the above white Tundra). The other one (like Broncoman posted and the above black tundra) do not. Can anyone explain? Sorry all for the inconvenience.

The shiny one is the TSS cover emblem.....big$$$
The other is just a Toyota emblem, no TSS. Same grilles different emblems. Yours is a 2017 so you don't need the expensive emblem.

That one has the TSS emblem correct? Will it still work in my '17 if I don't have TSS? Also is the non TSS emblem a Tundra emblem? I keep reading about a Land Cruiser emblem.

Yes, it's just a cover that the sensor screws into. Will work with yours.

Any recommendations where to source the grill and emblem other than the used market?
