Just curious if there are any Honda techs on this forum? I am posting due to some recent work I did on my 2008 Accord EX-L with the 2.4L motor. I recently replaced the VTC actuator that goes in the side of the motor with the double head bolt as well as the strainer screen. I am still experiencing the “rattle” for a couple seconds at startup. I also now noticed I have what looks like a very tiny leak around the VTC actuator. When I replaced this part I went with the newer part number which is 15830-R5A-A01. Could I be experiencing this leak because I didn’t replace the actual VTC cam gear itself? Also just curious what the cost of having the VTC cam gear replaced would be? For information the car has around 145k miles so I wasn’t sure if the timing chain and guides should be replaced as well. I appreciate your input.

    Thanks
