I dont think there is room in the A frame portion of the living room, but there is for that wall above the bar. Do you think in wall speakers that high up would be ok?

Yes. That should be okay. It’s a little high, but for surrounds you’ll be okay. Generally with surrounds you want the tweeter pointed relatively towards you, but it will be okay. Not ideal, but will definitely work

Cool, may look at going that route to eliminate the stands next to the couch. How far can speaker wire run before it may loose quality? I'm sure I wouldn't need to worry, but just curious. So if I ran it up the wall, around and to the back side.

It will be fine. Just make sure to use a thicker gauge wire. 12 is good.

Also make sure you cut the lengths for the surrounds the same length. For instance, if the left surround is a 40 foot run but the right surround is a 50 foot run. Then cut the left for a 50 foot run.

Match the surrounds on wire length and match the front 3 on the same wire length.

It’s always best to use as little internal processing as possible. It’s also rare that there would be a delay. Same size wires is always best practice. In theory it’s best to have all 5 or 7 or 9 hence and so forth same length, but that’s usually not feasible
