I've talked with a couple of people and looked at the vehicles they drive, I'm thinking I will be happy. A plus is they dont spray paper thin like OEM paint.

Well, we finally got some word yesterday about the car port. The hang up with the city initially was they thought it was one of these $400 plastic covered with steel tubing.
We explained we were building this to match the house, same pillars, same siding, shingles and color matched. Some more, well we're not sure. Then something about the 25' rule. Some more we're not sure. Then they said submit the plans and pay the permit, we'll let it happen.
My wife found company that can do it for around $6000.00. I dont like the around $6k, I am having them firm that up a lot.
So hopefully after this trip to the desert, we can start having it built.

For clarification I want a solid price for the build.
Dont tell me around $6k then the price ends up being $8k, for me that's a big difference.

    2 fenders replaced
    Roof will be replaced
    PDR to
    Rear fenders
    Tailgate
    1 door
Had a total of six gel coat fractures to the topper, thank goodness for paying the extra money for the 500lbs reinforced roof. It can be fixed.

I posted some progress pictures in the Live thread, I just got from the body shop. Progress is being made! The Tundra would be a BA buggy as far as looks.

8 or 10 weeks. I will be gone for most of that time. It should be done by the time I come home.

Man, that hail damage sucks! That is one of the reasons I may never move to that area of CO. If I did, I'd probably never take my Tundra out of the garage.

    Happy birthday, BTW!

Yes sir, it sucks! That's why we have insurance I reckon.
I'll have a car port for the next time, even if it's another 18 years before it happens
