    Curse you Perry the Platypus!
Was hoping they were bringing back the sport truck segment. New Lightning or Tremor would be awesome and maybe kick off a new niche market again. Oh well....

Exactly lol but I dont even look at pros as different.. it's a tundra. Just "better" but still better than an f150. Hands down.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Tundra, that whoever drives it should not break down, but have eternal reliability.

Yup, that still makes me laugh that in USA there was so much buzz about the Ranger coming back but in other countries the Ranger never left.

........and if Toyota could find a way to sell HiLux's here there would no need for the Taco. Probably why we will never see HiLux sold here. Gas or diesel.

Hahaha! This is awesome. I should print this out to annoy all of the rednecks around here.

On a side note, I noticed you threw Kaizen principle in there. Whatcha know about that? :D

As for the main topic, why is Ford coming out with an overland truck. Did they forget a certain truck called the Raptor?

I like it. Thumbs up to Ford for again offering an OEM solution based on what many do with their trucks after market. They did it with the Raptor (you guys with TRD Pros can thank Ford) and assuming they push it like they did the Raptor when it debuted, they'll do it again with this. Great to see an OEM listen, and respond. Benefits us all.

Calls people drama queens then uses profanity in his defense of Ford.

Why do all of you Ford apologists in this thread own a Tundra?

Also, what exactly made you guys so upset, someone saying a full size diesel wouldn’t sell in the overland community?

The ones making reliability arguments just look dumb. Literally all of the data says otherwise.

These threads make me chuckle while I drink my morning coffee....:pccoffee:

The Kool-aid drinking is real around here. This truck looks to be badass and a real contender to the Power Wagon. As was mentioned above this only helps us when car/truck companies listen to their customers and respond accordingly. I am set to get a new truck next summer and if Toyota doesn't hit the next one out of the park it's definitely going to be either GM or Ford for me.

I'm not a Ford apologist, but I own a Tundra because I was lured in to buying one because of the famed "reliability" of Toyota. I even experienced the reliability with 4Runner before the Tundra.

For my case, I was going to going to get a heavy duty pickup, but feared the lack of reliability from any of the big three. So, I opted to give up capability and give the Tundra a try. In retrospect, I should have just bought a heavy duty.

Things changed in the last few years for me and I am now starting to look around for an older 3/4 or 1 ton truck to buy and build on. I don't really want to buy a new truck right now. I'll keep the Tundra and give it to my son when he graduates in 5 years - if it makes it that long.

I wouldn't ever buy this Tremor because if it does hit the market, it will be overpriced for what you get. But, I like the idea - an off-road/overland type rig with actual payload capability.

Not a Ford fan but I like it.

At least they are thinking about newer stuff.

Takes balls to put a shit ton of things in a truck that people will buy that they will never use.

I bought a pro and will never fully use Fox shocks unless it means going over RR tracks at 45 MPH and not the recommended 10 MPH as posted.

I bought it because I have the money to buy it.
I have a $1000.00 off road light bar that I will only use to show off to friends or the random person that wants to see it.
My leather seats are covered in the back because I have a dog.

I am glad I have a gravel driveway so I can say I take it off road.

Agreed, but from what I have deduced the issues were related to either poor installs, poor maintenance, or abuse (or all of the above). The data shows that units installed correctly, maintained properly, and driven responsibly don't negatively affect reliability. Not saying that there aren't risks, but there are ways to mitigate, even eliminate, said risk.

I can also thank them for the inevitable movement by all manufacturers to aluminum and forced induction v6 powerplants. T
Riiight....let's just overlook the YEARS of the 5.4 3v cam phaser debacle. Current Ford is not BEST by any means. Give me 3 ways in which it is superior as a truck to the Ram.

Honestly right now I own it because it is paid off and i dont like being stupid with my money, it certainly hasn't been as reliable as my last Ford.
