A little of this and a little of that.
The flag poles I have aren't actually flag poles. I used a closet rod and cut to my desired length. I had a 1-1.5" pole snap on me going down the freeway and the aluminum ones seem to be not much better. So I use a good ole 2" closet rod. I'm thinking on painting it black.

Yeah, but I use it all the time no issues, just moves around. I use a locking hitch pin also. I ran it on my jeep jk before the tundra, seemed to fit better on the jeep.

@ARamirez73 i just tested the single flag holder and it doesn't wobble. The pole moves a little bit in the holder but nothing wobbling all over

If your pole wobbles then your balls are surely jiggling and that spells chafing! :kona::dancingbacon::kona:

In my opinion, it is best to buy a regular flagpole for this. Why look for some other materials? You see, you wanted to save money, and you were out of luck. It is best to buy what you need. I advise you to do this because I, like you, wanted to make a flagpole for the US flag from improvised means. Then, when I installed the flag already on my territory, it turns out that it should be illuminated. Still, I could not establish lighting on my flagpole. I had to buy a new flagpole and also a light for it from Amazon. It's good that I bought these things for significant discounts. I was fortunate.
