    Question: im not a big hunter, but after you hit a deer is the meat still good after its been stressed liked that? I heard its not as good.

    If the deer dies immediately, should be good to go. The duration of stress was minimal so, just like in humans, all those hormones just ramping up.

    If it lingers and has to be put down, maybe make a difference. I've heard this too, and it makes sense.

    But dying quickly as a result of a gunshot you didn't see coming, or a truck you didn't see comin', should effect the animal the same.
