Had some scrap wood pieces left over from some Christmas presents I had built, so I carved up a new shift knob and glued in a geo marker from one of my favorite spots, Crater Lake. Thread size on the shifter is M8x1.25...I didn’t bother with trying to glue in the appropriate size nut, just simply drilled the hole to a size that would catch the threads and let it self tap in the wood.172784C9-5DDD-4FDF-9508-0B5DC5AFD992.jpg629867FB-F4A5-48C4-8311-FF0487B41B4B.jpg919B7903-10A3-478D-9865-78A69C18D29B.jpg

How has the steering wheel cover held up? would like to do it but not sure it will stay tight over the long run.

Steering wheel cover has been great...has not come loose at all. I would definitely recommend it. Some of the slight bulges from where I didn’t line things up perfectly have gone away over time as it has broken in. It looks like a factory install now.
