I bought a 2010 w/ 93k for around $14k in MD so $21 seems a bit high to me but mine is a base model, I'm sure you're checking the blue book. Pics are in my profile I think if you want to see the body condition but it's pretty good.

That being said I agree w/ the sentiment shared already-if you're happy w/ everything pull the trigger, I've been super happy with mine. Pulling a heavy trailer w/ 115k miles now and no issues at all.

Petrone, your signature is beastly brother....in a good way of course. Thanks for your service....God bless. The one I am looking at has dual exhaust straight to the back, chrome tips, tonneau hard cover, bed lining....leather interior, sunroof, bull nose, limited edition crew max. It is sexy...I just refinanced the house so waiting a couple weeks, if she is there, I will test drive and most likely buy it if it's on the up and up.

Dayum I thought I was doing good at 300000 miles. In my own self defence, I don’t know if I’ve met anyone in person with more miles on their truck. Everyone who sees the truck and asks about it, I always make sure to mention the mileage. Every time jaws hit the floor. It’s one of my favourite things about my truck. Imagine how hard they’ll hit it once it doesn’t look like a moldy banana anymore and has more miles:D

Your 2008 looks great...I am tending towards the 2nd gen body and interior over the 2014 changes. I am coming from a 2002 Chevy Suburban with just about 200,000 miles. How do like the ride comfort of your suspension on the 2008? I am not talking about handling. I don't need it to maneuver like a German sedan. I am talking about the internet specter that is often talked about. The dreaded, kidney busting bed bounce and rough ride that so many talk about with Toyota trucks on the forums. Would really like to know you opinion since you have been driving it for a while. Cheers!!!!

Thank you so much, the Truck actually rolled over 225k miles this weekend. When we first bought it in 08 it was definitely a rough ride compared to the SUVs we ran in, this is mainly due to the incorporation of leaf springs and shocks in the rear over SUVs that often have coil over shocks all 4 wheels. At around 100k we did put in front leveling Bilstein coil overs (I wanna say 5100s? I'd have to check again) and they helped with the ride a lot as well.
I've honestly never felt like I was having a kidney busting bed bounce while driving. You can tell the suspension is stiff, those leaf springs are obviously less forgiving than coil overs but I feel the truck has always had a grounded feeling over bumps or cruising down the highway. The truck is plenty stiff for the Boat towing I do but always comfortable on daily commutes to work. If you hit a pot hole you'll feel it but the truck can take it easily, no worries after 12 years of ownership.

Once I added an RCI Steel Skid Plate to the front it definitely made the cornering/ride of the front of the vehicle a lot more secure to me (like adding a heavier front sway bar a bit).

Also 2nd Gen Body styles tend to have a lot more storage than the 3rd Gen body styles, but if you can find a clean one of either generation they will go for miles and miles with good care. Just know a truck will ride a bit stiffer naturally with leafs in the rear compared to an SUV with Coil Overs. You can always add better shocks though as many posts on this forum can show you that can make the ride even better! Any other questions just ask!

I myself consider toyota with 150,000 barley broken in. These things dont start having problems until 300,000 when most cars have had major repairs at half this mileage. A toyota tundra with 150,000 on it is still new to me. My current tundra I got with 130,00 on it 3 years ago and still running like day I bought it. It has 357,000 and getting higher by the day. All I've done is oil changes and upper lower ball joints. I would t be afraid to buy one of these with 300,000. These cam easily go a million miles serviced properly..

I have a 2002 4.7 Limited Access Cab with 273,000 plus miles I bought new in October, 2001. Replaced the transmission with a Toyota rebuilt unit at 250,000 miles and replaced the rack and pinion power steering at 255,000. I have replaced the timing belt and water pump 3 times, the power brake master cylinder twice and the radiator 3 times. No truck payments since 2005.

I looked at buying a red 07 locally two years ago that had 830,000 miles on it. I had a hard time justifying the asking price of the truck though.

The issue I had was that the seller was a car lot, so I couldn't talk to the previous owner. They were asking $3500, which isn't much, but if it needed an engine or transmission, it just wouldn't be worth the work. You have to imagine someone giving up on a truck like that would do so for a reason!

Hoping to get some thoughts. Looking at 2007 5.7 tundra with 258k miles for about $11k. One owner.
I feel like value is there but having a hard time throwing down more than $10k on a truck with that kind of miles. Wanted to ask some of the high mile owners their thoughts.
I have a 99 4Runner that I feel will have plenty of life even at 255k miles. Just not sure if that same quality was built into these bad boys.

My 2002 4.7 has almost 300,000 miles on the clock. The engine is solid as a rock. I had to replace the transmission at about 255,000 and the rack and pinion steering system at the same time as the transmission. The rack and pinion system started leaking and the transmission simply broke when put into gear. A new Toyota transmission was about $2800. The steering system about $1000.

I recently replaced the upper and lower front wheel control arms and this made a big difference in the steering and handling. I also completely replaced the air conditioning system at 250,000 miles which was in 2019 when the Tundra was about 18 years old.

I am the original owner and have not had a truck payment since 2005. I was recently offered $10,000 for the truck and turned it down.

Taken care of, Toyota's last a long time.

I drive my 2002 4.7 Limited about 35 - 50 miles every day. It now has over 280,000 miles on the clock and the engine runs like a top. I put on some new Michelin tires and it feels like a new truck. The only problem is the original 6 disk DVD player no longer works but the radio and speakers are fine.

I have not had a truck payment since 2005. I just can't justify $40,000 to $50,000 for a new truck.

IMG_0482.jpg Just sold my 2008 4.7 D.C. 4x4 with 380000 miles on it . It still drove like a new truck. I replaced it with a 2008 5.7 D.C. 4x4 with 175000 miles. Other than the power difference they both drive like new. They both have records of oil changes back to new. Only thing I really notice is the 4.7 is a lot quieter than the 5.7 .the pic is the one I sold

i bought my one-owner '07 4.7 4X4 DC in late april '21 with 243K for $10K. came with the ARE shell (tool box on the passenger side) & yakima racks, a clean carfax and a laundry list of maintenance performed over the years. it's a little beat up but i DGAF. it's a 14yo work truck! the rear main seal needed replacing, the suspension needs a complete overhaul (shocks, springs, UCAs, maybe leafs), it will need brakes soon and it sounds like one of my bearings is done. it seems like the rear bearings are the ones that go out on these things but i can't tell for sure as of right now. i just rolled over 251K today and it drives great. perfect work truck and as soon as I get the suspension and bearings all sorted it will be a great camping rig. taking this one to at least 300K which, at the rate i'm going, will be in a little over two more years.

Way too expensive for the mileage. I’d keep looking. That truck is probably worth about $12.5K at best

Blizzaks make winter driving possible in my RWD, no nanny, 5-speed, from times past... It's a freakin blast. Tho it won't do snow covered trails as well as the Tundie
