That is a nice minimalist bumper there. The camera angles make me feel like I'm peeking up a skirt or something. I can see her chassis!

Old Man Emu suspension. Brute Force Fab front bumper, rear dual high clearance rear bumper, sliders and headache rack.

Brute Force Fab out of Fresno, CA did all the armor.

    I'm in Boise.

Easily my favorite rear bumper for a Tundra. That's badass. Will get some awesome views of the suspension at work when you're flexing on the trail!

Here’s mine. Super simple but a world of difference on clearance.

Looks like yours is a 3rd gen. Their site says it’s for a 2nd gen and I was curious of the trimming on a 3rd gen. Thanks for the pics.
I may build one similar to this. Is the 3/4” thick mounting plates necessary or would 1/2” be sufficient?

Correct, I have a 3rd gen. Nathan, at TrailToys.net, originally built it for a 2nd gen and didn't know that it would fit a 3rd gen.

    Definitely go with 3/4".
As for cutting, there was a lot.

You obviously have to cut the body panel but once that is off it reveals tabs and the tailgate mount that needs to be chopped.

    Passenger side:
    IMG_5770.jpg

Driver side showing the tab, the tailgate swivel mount (this is what connects to the pneumatic shock that allows your tailgate to drop slowly), and the cut line where I had to do additional trimming:
    IMG_5779 (2).jpg

    IMG_5781 (1).jpg

After cutting the tailgate swivel I got it welded back together but obviously shorter. I relocated the top ball mount for the shock using an existing hole. The tailgate doesn't drop slowly like how it used to but it does slow it down just enough that I can catch the tailgate with 1 hand to prevent it from slamming down hard.

Don't cut the fenders straight! If you get this bumper there is a slight slope to it.

Plus, you'll want clearance for flex.

It will probably fit both 2nd and 3rd but I'd reach out to them and ask.

is this your truck and FWC? It inspired me!
Just upgraded my Rock Warrior to a newer CM with the 38 gallon tank. Picked up a Phoenix brand camper before I bite the bullet on a FWC. Has the same aluminum frame.

—-> who built the rear bumper?

Hey guys, I hate to spam this thread, but I wanted to offer another option. I will remove this post if I'm crossing a line.

We just finished this bumper at the shop and will be building them for the third gen tundras in the future. We are still working on pricing and options but this will give you an idea of what we can build.
