I did one of his "medium" tunes. There's definitely a noticeable difference but it's hard to really judge that I've never really driven the truck.

It's on my list of things to get. I want to get it done before boosting to have numbers to compare against

For shits and giggles I weighed the BBS rim and tire and compared to my 24's. Exactly 20lbs lighter. Curious how this compares to the stock GX wheel.

Finally picked it up. Although it needs to go back in a few weeks when the shop slows down to do a few more things.

Didn't have a chance for the custom box yet so this is here in the meantime.

Where did you end up getting the hvac controls from? Did they have to do anything special with the wiring? I've read some post saying they needed to extend the wire harness or something, idk.

Found it online from a salvage yard. Big money. He definitely had to extend the wiring a bit. And he's still trying to get the illumination working. But otherwise it's working great. Don't even really care about the illumination really so may tell him to just F it. I'm changjng the sub setup for sure. I need some more room in tbe back. Think I'm going to switch to a single Sundown 12".

I actually ended up with two sets of HVAC controls. Long story.

That's the idea for my build as well! One of the hard parts will be cutting up the TRD skid plate so it fits on the GX.

Did you make progress on getting those Pro BBS wheels to fit?

Gonna need a sound clip! I've been eyeing the MRK3 exhaust from URD. Had their system on the Tacoma. Only one I've found in 3" pipe.

Waiting for the lift and crap to get to SRQ Fabrications so I can drop it off to get everything thrown on, including the wheels.

It's not loud but it is louder than I'd like. My Tundra is for loud. The GX is for luxury. Gonna stop by the exhaust shop this week and see about adding an additional resonator. I'll try to get a sound clip before that.

I had a vibrant ultra quiet resonator added to my Tacoma and it made a difference. I was also running long tube headers, though.

    Those are on my list.

Also the Prado black window trim seal to replace the chrome. The seals on mine are also deteriorating

I haven't even seen it yet. Shop called and let me know it was ready but that it would need a BMC to stop the tires from hitting the frame. Told em to just get it done as I don't want to pick up the truck and have to bring it back. They're also doing new end links which they had to order. So now it'll be ready next week when everything gets in.

They also let me know I should do upper and lower controls arms as well as CV joints immediately. So as soon as I get it back I got more to replace ‍♂️

Going to head over there on Tuesday in the Tundra to pick up the stock rims. Hopefully grab a picture while I'm there.

I picked up Superpro LCA's. They also make an offset version to help with alignment. Combine that with Eibach adjustable UCA's and it should clear everything.

I haven't done a ton of research yet but was looking at the Freedom ones. Annoying part is I told SRQ I wanted to do UCA's just to refresh everything if he thought that'd be a benefit. He told me I wouldn't need them. Then turned around when he was done and told me I should do them.
