Is there a aftermarket sub that would help with more bass while still using the factory amp? My truck is a 2020 crewmax limited with jbl. Thanks in advance

Yep you are 100 percent correct. The 8 channel is no brainer in the JBL system . We just imstalled one Friday and the customer was crazy happy. His local shop said there was nothing they could do at all with his JBL system

James@tech12volts. In your opinion would just replacing the sub be enough to sound good? I don’t want a super thumping stereo just more bass. Or should I go with the 8channel amp and sub? Thanks

With just the sub it’s a little better , with the amp it rocks. You get a control with it so you can adjust lvl of sub.

    Alot of them
@james@tech12volts I have an enclosure question. I purchased this enclosure from a local guy a few years back. It is ported on the back. He had it built locally and said that he had Hertz subs in it. When I went to get subs from my local shop, he recommended the Alpine SWR-8D4. I have had them for a few years now. I was messing with amp gains after replacing the sub amp, and sometimes it sounds good, and sometimes not quite as good. Is there any major difference between the Hertz and the Alpines when it comes to the enclosure? Thanks.
