I have trapped a few but not the offending rodent. Any suggestions on trapping squirrels? Should they happen to die during the process, I am ok with that.

Well, in that case, I suggest a .410. Just kidding, we have borrowed humane traps from our local law enforcement animal control before and caught feral cats, etc. You may try that..... Just hope that you don't have little ones running around in there.... be sure to close up how it got access to the wall afterwards..

Oh yes, I will be closing it up once they/it are gone. No free invites for rodents

I've had lots of luck with a havahart trap , probably 15 to 20 squirrels and a couple dozen cats, plus quite a few skunks

Best bait for the squirrels is some peanut butter and a piece of apple

Hold the Line! If you are not holding the line, abandon your ship. Destruction is inevitable without more to hold the line!
I use an old cat trap to catch all the varmint around here. We have a huge skunk problem! Just be glad that they are not skunks...

I've found drop a rope down the wall and they will crawl out. Then seal it up. I had one in my chimney and this worked perfect.
    Good luck!

Squirrels are the worst to get in your house. The amount of damage they can do is incredible
