I had 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe LT. With all the options. However after my ac compressor blew up and Ripped my belt. 2 fuel injections failed on a trip and many other things broke. I switched to Tundra. Was not happy with the lack of features in the Crewmax SR5 trim. But I am happy to give up windows auto up and down on all 4 doors knowing I will make it back home.

Compressor blew up on a 2-year old vehicle and it wasn't covered under warranty?!?! My dad's 2018 Yukon SLT uses the new stuff (R1234yf?) instead of R134a. A 2016 Tahoe/Yukon would use R134a. I'm wondering if the compressor in my dad's Yukon will be better because it uses a different refrigerant?

I wish they still made Tundras with crank windows...

I've been driving a no-frills Tacoma for almost a decade and I love it! My only requirements are air-conditioning, heat, intermittent wipers, and one hell of a sound system. My truck came with good A/C and great heat, but I had to add the other two things myself...

My Grandma has a 2002 Lexus RX300 Coach Edition, purchased brand new in CASH and with less than 87K on the clock as of December 2018.

I've seen only one 1999-2003 RX300 with aftermarket an head units installed; A new dash bezel had to be fabricated and the HVAC controls had to be relocated to the center console. By comparison, it would take less than an hour to install an aftermarket head unit in a 2nd Gen Taco.

My Grandma really wants a backup camera, and she would rather pay $400 (roughly what I paid for parts to put one in my Tacoma) to put a backup camera in her perfectly good Lexus than drop $35,000-$45,000 on a new vehicle.

BOTTOM LINE: There is absolutely NO easy way to install an aftermarket head unit in a 1999-2003 Lexus RX300!
