Hi! I’ve been researching my first potential flowmaster, but have been getting different feedback on the loudness in the cab. My family really appreciates a quiet ride. How loud is it in the cab? Thanks!

What series flowmaster are you looking at? There are a bunch of them from quieter than stock to non street legal screamers.
I have ran multiple types currently super 44 which I find quieter inside the cab than the 40 series but on long trips the family probably wouldn't approve..

Had FlowFx for about 3 days, too much incab noise for me and my family. Went with @dirtydeeds 10" and it's perfect

If low end torque, and drone is a concern, you’ll really wanna check out BAmufflers.

I'm running a Flowmaster Super 50. To me, there's nothing like that Flowmaster sound. It's got b@lls.

The Super 50 roars at start up, is stock quiet while cruising, and sure let's you know it's there when you punch it.

There is some mild interior cabin resonance at 1700rpm, but nothing you can't easily speak over. And my butt dyno definitely found a little more punch to the gas pedal. Fuel mileage is unchanged even with me laying on it for fun. Lol

I kept the 2 into 1 setup because I tow.

The best part is the price. 409stainless steel delivered to my door by Amazon for $180 CDN. Another $50 to get it welded in. No one's beating that. Part#8524553.

    Highly recommended.

Keith catered to my specific needs, and he most likely can do the same for you. My RCSB was a challenge, but this custom 3 muffler system met my needs perfectly.

This system produces that TV NASCAR sound, you don't hear much until you floor it.

Dirty deeds 10 inch or 12. I have the 10 and it's pretty quiet inside until you mash the skinny pedal. sounds great. 12 would be just a tad quieter. Either will give you a quiet performance exhaust but still wake up with the throttle.

Can't lie rolling down the back window and getting on it makes me and my boys smile, the wife even enjoys it

^^^ What he said. It's got big balls. I run the same on my Tundra. To me, the sound is perfect. Very primal.

So curious I have the delta flow 50 on my Tacoma and I like how it sounds. Can I put one on my tundra? I thought I read somewhere it's hard to get a muffler shop to chop the existing muffler to replace. Or did I read that wrong?

@dirtydeeds is the best option for Tundra exhaust with minimal or no drone..
And it bolts on to existing pipes..

So it’s louder than stock, makes it sound like a mans truck, puts a smile on your face all While being wife/kid friendly is what your saying?

I run a Super 50 dual in dual out. Bolted right up in front and added dual tailpipes. NP. I exited both on passenger side because it was easier then dealing with spare and spring on drivers side.

is it too much noise when you pull your 5k lb boat? And how do you like your super 50 overall? Do you Think it helped your low end?

I went from a Flowmaster to a BA. I can tell you from my experience that the BA muffler from Keith @dirtydeeds performs alot better. The Flowmaster is like make noise, then go. The BA is like make noise and go at the same time.

I don't think so but I always have music on. I like to listen to my upgraded stereo. Now without the radio turned down it might be a little loud while going up hills and passing. I noticed no difference in low end but my butt dyno is not as sensitive as some.

Thanks for the feedback. If you would do it over again, would you choose the super 50? I recently removed my AFE cat back bc it felt like it lost low end and with a newborn I didn’t want it too loud. The afe had some drone but main thing was it felt sluggish. Want something with a little more noise than stock but nothing wild

Maybe, other then TRD exhaust from factory i have always had a stock exhaust. I was going to have dealer install TRD on a Tundra I was looking at but when they screwed themselves out of deal I backed out. I only say maybe because shop did a crappy job on welding hangers. I need to take it back to them.
