    I prefer the after market since it didn’t come with it in the first place.

    Nice truck, there are so many options for nerf bars, all depends if you will have it off road or just a daily driver.

    I picked the original Toyota steps. They stick far enough out so the truck won't get door banged.

    Hi folks,

    Just purchased a 2019 Tundra, Crewmax, 4x4, TRD, Cement color - I am looking at tube-steps. Does anyone have any positive or negative experience with non-brand tube-steps purchased on Amazon?

    Welcome from Buffalo, NY!

    It really depends on what your needs are. Some folks have rock sliders for trails, others are just for looks. My 2018 came with ones similar to
    COMiamiFan. I have 2 little kids and one of them is small enough that their foot could slide right through. I replaced them with the Ionic 41 series, we love them. I got them for $25 cheaper than here;

    Darn far away from SoCal. I’m going to be removing my Toyota generic steps soon as I have some slidders and I’ll be selling cheap

    Opinion please, I am looking for side steps for my 2016 4X4 crewmax. I do very little offroading to NEED sliders but I have ruined more than one rocker panel and am considering rock sliders. I hate those boulders that Target (and several other retail establishments) puts on the end of their mediums. The tube steps I see on this postings all have a step that protrudes lower than the tube. Just the thing to catch on a boulder. I have no plans on lifting my truck and it already looks closer to the ground, so I am looking for something that is "high and tight" but still gives me the protection and step that my grandkids can use to get in the truck. I am hesitate to get something that makes my Tundra look even lower to the ground than it really is. ...Am I being too picky..go ahead and laugh....

    Welcome from Texas.

    If $$$ isn’t an issue go AMP research. I also like the Go Rhino RB series.

    After adding lift/wheels/tires to my SR5, the otherwise basic looking OEM black tubes looked much better than prior to the mods.

    Buy sliders, they are about the same price, will server the same purpose as a step and protect the truck waaaayyyy more than steps. Look at white knuckle or demello
