    Hey Folks!

I just bought my first V8 vehicle ever a week ago and it’s starting to grow on me. Previously owned a Black 99 Tacoma SR5 Xtracab 4WD 3.4L V6 MT with 374,561 miles on it for 21 years, until it was totaled and towed away back in January :(

Love that color, nice looking rig
Start here MEGA THREAD first two posts are a must read. A couple items are pretty critical to the longevity for our trucks.

Nice color combo. Getting the gray interior with that exterior is sweeet!

Thanks all! Of course it didn't look like this when I bought it. It’d been parked for a while. I got new Coopers first thing in order to pass my last inspection; starting next year I'll only need to get safety checks for only $13.95 woo-hoo !! Grabbed a bucket of warm soap and started handwashing it until it was clean enough to polish. I upgraded the speakers to Falcos with sound deadening, added the toolbox, changed the antenna and installed LEDs both inside and out, in addition to adding a new third brake light. The only other planned changes are installing a security system, then I want to paint the side mirrors, rear bumper and the chrome piece on the front bumper then install Bilsteins and level the front. The gas mileage suuuu-uuucks !!! To that end, once I've made those changes, I'd like to trade it in and get a brand new fully loaded MT Tacoma, but I'm not in a rush to do that; it's a want not a necessity right now or the foreseeable future. Until then, I'm just going to drive it and take care of it.
