I realize they aren't that popular for our trucks but I've always had a headache rack so I have been looking for ages and finally settled on one that I think looks good on 2.5 gen rigs.

The biggest thing I don't like about most racks is they sit up higher than the cab and they don't hug it very well. There's usually a large amount of space between the back glass and the rack. Unfortunately, the back of our cab has a forward "lean" to it so that also kills the look.

    What do y'all think?

I dunno I always thought of those as being more functional than anything else in the looks department. Are you losing stuff up and worried about it shifting and breaking the window?

They used to be functional on my other trucks but I'd just like the look for this truck.

I like the look. You are right the back of the cab makes it look a little weird. That Magnum rack looks nice tho. Protec makes really nice aluminum racks too.

I have a cheap Backrack on mine, but my truck is also white and beat up so it fits. There's a guy in my town with a custom made aluminum rack on his 2.5 complete with bed rails and a removable crossbar by the tailgate i think it looks sweet.

I just realized that it seems a little dumb that i like bed racks for work, but i hate the overlanding bed racks that are popular now. I guess i still live in the past when pickups were made for work and suvs were for camping.

Awhile ago when I was looking for headache racks, the only one that seemed to conform with the double cab was the Aries Switchback. Here's someone's image:

I imagine Aries is more a manufacturer for looks than utility when compared to the Magnum.

I have Aries power steps and they're really built well. I'll have to take a look at these! Thanks
