Hello all! I'm new to the Tundra forum, but not new to forums or Toyota's in general. I just picked up a 2010 Tundra and am looking to install the aftermarket head unit from my Tacoma in my Tundra. I miss my Apple Car play and Navigation and the simplicity they provide compared to the stock unit in my Tundra.

So what my actual question is, is what dash kit do you all recommend for color matching. There's a few to choose from and I'm not sure which one will match the dash as well as the Schoshe one I had in my Tacoma did.

Here's a shot of the truck for attention.

Well, I ended up ordering the gloss "piano black" version. Once I get it installed I'll reply with pics and my opinion on match. If anyone is interested.

I assume it will also. I was just hoping for some educated input before I ordered. But I found the kit on Amazon for $26 so I figured no big loss if it didn't match, and I could always send it back. Thanks for your reply!!

Installed the head unit on Thursday. Unfortunately the color doesn't actually match the a/c control head. But It still looks good. Overall I'm happy with it. Plus my stereo sounds 1000 times better than factory. Hopefully this can help someone else when choosing a color if they want to see how it looks. My next step will be adding the adapter to bring back my steering wheel controls.

Looks great! The dash in my 2011 is identical to that, so it gives me an idea of what to expect mine to look like. I just ordered an aftermarket head unit for mine from a local shop (who is also doing the install). I noticed on the parts list that they ordered the Metra plate. My Tundra just had the basic stereo w/bluetooth, not the Entune or JBL speakers, so getting a head unit with nav and all of the bells and whistles will be a welcome upgrade.

Thanks for posting your write up and pics.

In my 2010 I had went with a Scoshe and ordered all parts through Sonic Electronics. Except the speakers, amps, and processor. All Stinger wiring. I ran a set of HAT Legatia 3.7” in the dash with HAT Clarus 6.5” in the doors. About three road packs of Stinger Roadkill were used. For rear fill I ran two HAT Imagine 10” subwoofers. I did the steering wheel controls, installed a back up camera, and soldered everything. I had Kenwood HU, with all Zapco ST-D amps, Zapco processor, and Hybrid Audio speakers/subwoofers.
