    Hello Everyone
I am in the middle of doing the head gaskets on my 2007 5.7 long bed. Almost didn't but hate to abandon the old girl. Shes at 250K. I have just about replaced all parts you might think of twice. So, do not plan on buying new parts besides the gasket package w/bolts etc. Just get the coolant to stay in it. My carport has parts strewn everywhere. You literally have to bare bone the engine. So, if you are not into that much trouble....
I am down to the timing chains and have a problem. I snap tied the guides and long chains and then removed the tensioners. I cut the snap tie on bank one with no problem and removed the long chain. But when I cut the snap tie on Bank Two the timing slipped big time. Anybody know what to do to fix this? Should I remove the short chains and try to line the camshafts individually to TDC again? Am I screwed? Can I remove the camshafts and line everything again? any help appreciated.

If you can realign that bank without cycling the entire engine to find TDC, then your best bet is to find TDC once again and reset everything correctly. It does mean starting over. Someone with a Sequoia was having a slightly similar issue and had to retear down and realign. If you've already put everything back, you may want to consider a tear down. If you run the engine you may end up damaging it enough to require a new one.
