its already a done deal, build date is 11-01-2017, just hoping I can pick it up before our trip to GA the weekend before turkey day. have to haul a 6x12 uhaul back to ND and I am hoping to pull it with the tundra. otherwise I have to pull it with my 14 4runner limited.

I rather do it in the tundra so I can break it in on the 1700 mile trip down to GA.

Well, as you guys know, I went and looked at the 2017 Tundra SR5 Crewmax yesterday over lunch. They had offered me, on trade, $1,600 less than what I paid for my 2017 Tacoma OR M/T in February (not lying but I can't believe it either). I slept on it and when I checked my email this morning, I had a "mass" email from that dealer saying they were offering $500 in trade assistance through the end of the month. I asked my salesman and he added that in, too. I am having them do a spray in bedliner for me before I pick it up. Surprisingly, their price for the spray in bedliner was the same as the Line-X shop so I thought I might as well save myself the time and have them do it before I pick it up.

I think I am getting it on Thursday but still waiting to hear back for sure. Looking forward to the extra space! Not looking forward to keeping it clean (it is black).

I would seriously reconsider the liner vs line-x. watch some oem liner issues and the headaches they cause long term wise vs a line-x.

Thanks for the heads up. It is a spray in liner. They send it to a private shop to do.

yeah if the price of the 3rd party is the same as the line-x, I would go line-x, the warranty is better.

I had a Taco, now I've got a DC Tundra. Best decision ever.

not all do so double check they actually do send it to the local line-x authorized dealer.

my quote was like $470 for the line-x about 105 miles away to do the new tundra. I was going with the cheapest since I will be putting a access roll up cover on it, so I don't need the fade protection from the next level of protection on the line-x.

Look closer they should have $2k or 0%. When I bought mine in late August it was $1500 or 0%. I was going to go with a 1.74% loan because I always pay off early but my loan app got messed up and I was going to have to wait, another 2 days. Finance guy said it was a breakeven if I paid to end. I said yeah I know I have an Excel model to run numbers. He kind of chuckled and said Excel. I said yes Excel you got a problem with that.

Very good points guys. I have an email out to the salesman to verify what brand the spray in liner is. I should have thought about that myself.

I am also putting on an Access roll up cover so I don't need the fade resistant one either.

I actually have an Excel spreadsheet too. :) I have ran the numbers a few different ways and came up with the best scenario.

Well, I'm glad I asked. It is a Rhinoliner they do. I had one many years ago and didn't really like it as much as Line-X.

Edit: the shop can do Line-X or Rhino so I am golden. Now I just have to decide on which one I want.

I forgot that the rebate and rate I got was regional. I too went with dealer on bedliner. Cheaper than factory. My truck came with no dealer or other add ons which is what I wanted. Very rare around here. Most are loaded up with worthless stuff like Vehicle Protection. Dealer had told me they would take dealers options off but not practical with tint, nitrogen, and other crap they added

hmmm, I thought having a line-x franchise you are not allowed to have another franchise

once I saw "vehicle protection", GST mafia. I would drive outside the GST/SET mafia ring and get one from Toyota USA myself.

I was talking to dealer in KC when I bought the 2013 Tacoma. I was willing to travel to avoid the GST Gestapo. They even had Bajas without graphics. Every Baja in GST had graphics.

    WOW,

Big congrats and enjoy your new Tundra!

Love the Black interior thats the main reason I got it on my 2017 Tundra SR5 CM, it hides the dirt well and looks great!

The cloth actually feels like it’s durable. I hope it holds up well. The black looks nice in my opinion.

I currently own a 17' Tacoma OR and I must say I hate my truck. The 3.5 Camry no torque motor is horrible on gas mileage with my 3" lift on 33" mud terrains. The tranny shifts like a 8 year older learning how to drive stick. The only good thing about it is that its offroad worthy and it has a Toyota badge. I will soon part out all the mods/add ons and trade it in for a Tundra. Go Tundra all the way.

I am in a 2017 Tacoma OR Manual Transmission until Monday when I pick up my Tundra. I haven’t had any problems with the Tacoma but it is just too small. I thought I could get used to it but I couldn’t.

You should go look for a 2017 Tundra. They are trying to get rid of them now since the 2018s are arriving now. There are some decent deals to be had right now not to mention the trade value on my Tacoma was crazy high. Good luck!

Sorry it took me so long to respond. I traded it in. They gave me $31,500 for it. I paid $32,700 back in February. I was more than fine with that.

I just picked up the Tundra today, actually. It took them longer than expected to put the tonneau on and the Line-X. Love it so far! So much room. I had to clear out the front of my garage to get it in there.
