I have an electrical short some place. My stereo/nav blanks out and reboots often. The other morning, all my idiot lights came on, speedo dropped to zero and came back as the stereo cut out again. It's an aftermarket have that's been in the truck since '08 with no issues.

I hate tracing electrical bugs, but if anyone has a suggestion...

Check you battery connections first make sure they are clean.

Might have to take the radio out and check the connections there or the connector going to the radio has come loose.

Just a few, more to come
Sounds like maybe an ignition switch. I had a similar issue with a Chevy back in the day and it turned out to be the ignition switch was worn from the PO having too many keys/crap on their keyring and it wore out the switch from the weight. I'd be driving down the hiway and then the gauges would flicker/jump around and stereo would turn on/off a couple times then everything would go black. Truck would keep driving though. So after doing it intermittently for a week it got worse and I was able to get it to a shop and they recreated the issue and replaced the ignition switch in the steering column and it was fine again after that.

Mine just came back from the dealer for similar issues. It would up being a loose Short Pin fuse under the hood.
