I honestly think the best thing to do is just buy it for $35 and try it. You can always sell it for $25

And if you don't sell it, you can always use it if you ever decided to go with the older style TRD Pro grill. I honestly love the older TRD Pro grill because the black is a flat black not shiny black

Yeah, I don't see why it wouldn't work. $35 is worth a shot. Appreciate the input!

So I purchased this and it everything worked fine for about a mile down the road and then my pre-collision light came on and said to clean sensor. A little while later it turned off. This happens every time I go anywhere and I looked and saw that the bracket from AJT isn’t an exact fit when bolting it on the truck. Has anyone else had this happen? Trying to figure out what I could do differently to get it to line up where it should be. Any help would be appreciated.

Same happened to me and was thinking of using rubber washers sandwiched on the inside to see if it'll solve the issue.

Happens one or twice a 30 minute drive. Also thinking of cleaning the sensor well before putting back together.

I've had it for a while with no issues. But then the same happened couple of times but only when raining hard and cars front of me washing me with water . It lasted about half hour and went away. But mind you, the same thing also happened with my original grill with the OEM sensor cover . These sensors are finiky. I really don't care . I like the look of the TRD Grill and will not go back for just a little error here and there. Again, it only happened to me when it got a little dirty and wet.

I bought Adams TSS bracket and couldn't be more happy. No issues at all and I've had it for quite a while. For what it costs it was worth a gamble, a lot better than the redneck way I had it rigged - which BTW, it still worked then. I recommend his products, he's great to deal with as well.

When I took it apart I cleaned the hell out of everything. My only concern with adding washers is the sensor itself getting loose. My bigger concern is the bracket itself. The more I tighten the nut the more it pulls the bracket towards the passenger side. I’m going to call AJT and see what they say but I’m not holding my breath since their instructions say not to call them if you have issues
If they’re not helpful I’ll have to put a wedge in there or look into a different bracket.

I am using the new TRD PRO grill and bought that ebay cover. I assumed that because it has the sensor mounts if I bolted it up it would work. It didn't, lol
    Any ideas why ?

I installed the AJT Designs TSS relocation bracket a week ago. So far the sensor has been functioning perfectly. I'll check back in if that changes.

My precollision system did not work reliably with the ajt bracket. Errors all the time. Went with the Jomax months ago and haven’t had an error since.

I have the AJT with my 2017 Cement TRD PRO Grill on my 2018 Limited Crewmax. I love the look of the grill, but my errors are constantly lighting up ever since the bracket relocation install. Went to look for the Jomax and can’t find one. Where did you get yours? Any errors with yours? Thinking about going to the 2019-2020 TRD PRO Grill with the high dollar TSS Sensor cover so I don’t get the errors.

Jomax doesn’t make them anymore; no issues at all since switching to it over a year ago. My ajt bracket didn’t work and had errors all the time.

I've had the AJT bracket for two months. My TSS system has worked correctly more than 90% of the time. I have noticed that when the sensor malfunctions, it involves heavy rain or extreme heat and humidity. Rarely has it malfunctioned under normal conditions. I watched a video recently where someone had used JB Weld to attach the sensor to the inside of the bottom grill shroud with excellent results. If I become unhappy with my current situation that would be my next step short of replacing the grill with a newer version with the TSS cover.

Curious why Jomax stopped making them. I would pay for a relocation bracket that works 100% of the time for the peace of mind. I am already looking at the newer TRD Grill that is color matched even though I really like the 2017 version. Cheaper route and better look, but I can’t handle the error light. Thanks for the information about the Jomax and AJT. Helps to know which way to go from here.
