After much debate and research about 275/70 vs 295/70 I ended up going with the 275/70. Glad I did. I think they look great.

I've had a pair on my 3rd Gen 4Runner for about two years now. I had a set of Federal Couragia MTs that were good however I like these better. Better gas mileage and less hum on the road. I also think they perform equally well if not better in rain and snow. Off road they work really well too and seem to be a perfect replacement for MTs without sacrificing to much capability

Stock size on my SR Truck.

I have about 5000 miles on them in the first month and am pretty impressed to say the least!

I drove to South Florida and back and pulled a trailer on the way down and then drove in torrential rains most days when there and was motivated to get the tires mostly for the wet road performance vs the TA's that I had on her before.

Mind if I ask why not 295 ? I am thinking getting a set of 295/70 on my bro same color as you hahah. One more thing so you have to do alignment?

I drive 99% on road and my truck is my daily driver. For me the pros of the 275’s (although probably minor things) outweighed the pro’s of going 295’s... lighter, won’t change the shift points, absolutely no mods needed-no rubbing anywhere, and still no where close to the UCA. I just didn’t want to chance it with the 295’s and I didn’t want the “stuffed” look. Before I made my finale decision I met a guy with a white ‘16 Pro. He had Falken 275/70 on his and I thought they looked really good. So that also helped my final decision. Pictures don’t do these tires justice. I think the look proportional.
No you do not need an alignment after mounting new tires.

I had the same size on my previous '18 SR5 Off Road. I had to trim the back corners of the OR bash plate, but no rubbing on the Pro. Snow predicted this weekend, so will try them in the slippery stuff. Road manners quite good. Maybe a bit more hum at low speed than the OEM Michelins but not noticeable at highway speed. Balance nicely. Certainly look the stuff.

If you get 295/70 what kind of mod you need to do beside removing the front MF.

With stock Pro wheels that is usually all, but some people have still reported minor rub at full lock.

I didn't have to remove any of the flaps, even the mini-flap in front is not rubbing. Admittedly, this has only been on pavement and a some gravel roads. I'll stay aware and watch for rubbing when I get into some more technical driving. This is on the Pro with it's ~2" lift compared to the other trims. Enjoy that white TRD Pro BenSan. That is a great truck.

20201102_085611.jpg Just ordered 4 295/70r18s .....I have a 3/1.5 lift and am going to use my stock TRD Off Road wheels with 1.25 spacers to clear UCA.
Pic with just lift and stock tires for attention.

I'm up for new tires and have seen nothing but good things about the Falken Wildpeak AT3W. My only hang up is the might have too soft of a tread compound for my application.

I live in Northern AZ where we regularly get snow and ice for 3-5 months out of the year, but also see upper 90s into the 100s during the summer. Can anyone speak to how the Falkens hold up in hotter weather? Thanks

I'm one of the few who probably have a negative experience with them. I had them on my Tacoma, P rated 16 inch tires. They were awesome tires in all conditions but they were totally and thoroughly trashed by 20k miles. Mine never saw 100 degrees either but they did see plenty of snow and ice. Ive read the E rated versions hold up a lot lot better but dont quite do as well in snow.

They are one of the few with A/T with a tread warranty, so that's something to ease your mind.

Mine are awaiting rims. As for snow and ice, we get it 4-6 months a year too, which is why I went with them. The lug depth is amazing.

I have them in 33 my wife has them on her 4runner. I want a more aggressive tire due to the amount of snow we get. A f*** ton of snow each year. Wife hates them. Both gonna go to ko2. My dad is getting them for his 4runner

have had them in sand and hooked up pretty good.

same. I’ve only driven in snowy road conditions and not specifically “snow wheeling” but they are very secure and confidence inspiring on snow covered roads. They are also so good in the rain which we see a good bit more of than snows

I've had them on my 3rd Gen 4Runner for 3 or 4 years now. Handles the deep snow well (12" +)
