Curious if anyone here has the vinyl bumpers (not chrome) and had them painted? I have an SR with the black vinyl bumpers and took it to a couple body shops for quotes. 1 place said they could be painted and the other said that since they were not smooth they couldn't be painted properly. He said it wouldn't match and it would likely flake off in future if scratched.

I really wanted to get them gloss black to match rest of my truck but now don't know what to do. Has anyone attempted to paint these on their own and gotten a decent gloss match? Would be nice if I could paint without removing the bumpers and spending $500-1000
