I just noticed on my T that the back light on my shifter has burned out, anyone else come across this and is it possible to replace it? I know you can still see it on the dash but is still nice to have it on.

Are you talking about the light behind the dash or the light on your center console?

If you have the center console it's pretty easy, the covers just pop off and you should be able to get to it then.

Detach the 12 clips and remove the console panel.

    Remove the clip.

    • Detach the 6 clips and remove the console panel.
    • w/Trailer Towing System:

      Disconnect the connector

Oh, and you may have to take this part out too.

I had this bulb burn out on my 2010. I believe it is the same bulb as the one in the driver's foot well. For some reason, I swapped out the bulb, verified the new one worked, but when I buttoned everything back up, it was again not illuminating the gear markers. Swapped the bulb back to the original and found that the original works too, but apparently only when the panels are removed.
