I have a DC, but really like the under seat storage. I like the idea of the OEM Audio sub, but am worried that it won't give me enough ooomph once I get used to it, and their system is pricey. The other option is to eliminate the storage box and go with a dedicated sub box from Tech 12 Volt. I keep watching this thread with hope of finding the best middle ground. Keep the ideas coming.

The sub or the tundra? I think they both had fun... I mean what constitutes good?

Here is the sub enclosure sitting in my garage I took last night. I can’t give up the space in my crew cab so it may be a footwell sub for me next.234B93C9-6C93-4624-851F-39F9FACB7E2A.jpg

What sub does it run? That is very interesting. I’m intrigued.

Behind the seat would be tight....under the seat is pretty tight as well but this works.

It sounds very good but I have also replaced all of the factory speakers and head unit as well. Not sure how well that would come through in a video but I can give it a shot.

thank you sir....running focal components in the front and focal 6 1/2 in the rear with 2 kicker shallow mount 10’s. It has pretty crisp clear sound and just the right amount of bass, happy with it overall.

Pretty good day today. I went about vacuuming the truck today. Then, I thought I’m half way there to do the fold down seat mod. So I did that next. Then, I thought I should toss the under seat storage unit I have in for fun. Then, I thought I should see why everyone says no sub fits behind the seat. As I’m looking I though, pretty sure the factory would fit there. Sure as shit- there it is. It’s obviously just laying there, but I’m hella stoked on underseat storage and a sub. I’m thinking I can craft a sub box that fits here in the space with more volume than the factory box. It’s gunna happen. :D

I love a good stereo. That’s why I’m so scared to start messing with it. Once I start, it’s gunna be one more thing I can’t afford but requires tons of cash and time to do it how I want to. So for now, I get a shity ass oem sub. I also love good storage, and it’s more important to me at this point in life, to have anything I need at all times on the truck. My under seat plus the toolbox in the bed gets me about where I need o_O Damn I spend a lot of fuel haha.

I just need to figure out a way to measure how much space I can work with behind the set. Please post a box size that fits when you find out.

I have a single 12” sub under the rear drivers side. When I did the install after trying my best to not lose the under seat storage. I had all the back seats out did lots of measuring and came to the conclusion only a custom 8” tube could possibly work for a DC or a custom box. Even with the fold down mod there is space but it’s tight. I’m very happy with the 12” the loss off storage is semi made up with the fold down mod, but you have to lose the tray.
