So when I just put in my CAI from prospeed with my harrop sc, I started leaning out big time through the Power Band. Looking at getting a tune done to it, any ideas?

Sounds like you have just discovered you can’t upsize the stock 3.5” intake to a 4.5” intake without rescaling the MAF in the tune. Do you have it tuned at all yet or are you running the untuned Harrop stage 1 with stock injectors? If it’s the untuned setup you’re going to need bigger injectors to run that Intake. The stock injectors provide a borderline amount of fuel so as it is with the “stage 1” setup and the stock 3.5” intake. You should probably put the stock intake back on until you have a game plan for the tune.

What’s your local area? Maybe there is a tuner that can be recommended nearby.

Where are you so people can guide you to a local shop?

If you go remote lots of folks are recommending OTT but you'll likely have to go to stock intake first, not sure what the vendor's forum handle is here on Tundras: https://overlandtailor.com/

Ton of threads with good info on the front page digging into the topic of tuning and vendors. Good luck.

I'm in the Jax fl area. Prospeed offers a remote tune so I'll probably have to go that route. I got a jet hi flow maf coming in so that might help but as you can see, I'm not 100% as to what I need to do. Whatcha got for anybody nearby?

I went down the rabbit hole on their site and looked up rc tuning down in Florida- looks like they service my area. I hit then up so hopefully I will get a good idea of what my options are

If you didn't change your injectors you will be able to drive it if you put the stock intake back on, but don't get into it until you get it tuned. Get it tuned with the PS CAI re-installed.

I would return that jet MAF sensor, it’s one of those snake oil products. For a component as important to the critical fueling required on a supercharged engine I wouldn’t trust one. Stick with the OEM Denso MAF sensor. I’d also consider the Overland tailor tuning route as suggested, which sounds like you’re on your way with that.

+1 on returning the JET maf sensor. Went through 2. First one failed within a year of install, had it RMA'd and got sent a new one, also failed within a year. There was another member here that had issues with it.

    RE: Jax
Cool. Did an I&I tour out there with the Assault Amphibian Co next to the zoo and right up the road from Blount Island. Not familiar with tuners out in Jax but I am sure there are plenty considering how large the city is.

RE: Jet Hi Flow MAF I've not heard good things about them. If you are looking at tuning I would revert as many variables back to stock as possible; at least intake and MAF.

Email OTT and they can get you sorted at least to figure out pricing and what all is involved. It doesn't hurt to get a second opinion.

I used National Speed to do my Stage 1 and Stage 2"+" they have an office in Willmington, NC. I wouldn't attempt to drive there with the 4.5 inch PS intake but you are probably safe on the stock 3.5 intake. They can scale the MAF and set you up. Labor is pricey but the service and installation was Grade A.

Yeah, gonna have to switch it back and get the answer from the remote tuning guys that was recommended.

MAF isn't the only issue. Truck is getting more air than it thinks it is since you have the larger intake. Your tuner will help scale it up properly.

I'm looking to get the same work done since I am "downgrading" from the PS to a slightly different intake.

I drove the stock intake for over a year so its just fine (greater gas mileage too). I did the install of the SC myself and it went pretty smoothly considering I wasn't that versed (if that's not obvious already).
Hopefully the guys get back to me soon and we can get something worked out quickly.

The best recipe for you to be happy with the supercharger and 4.5” intake while having a nice safe fuel supply in my opinion is to get yourself a set of deatschwerks 650cc injectors, and get a game plan with a tuner. Install everything back to as it was intended with the stage 1 Harrop (stock intake) for the time being. Once the tuner is figured out and they have sent you first file to flash for the new intake and injector mods, install the other components and you will be on your way to getting it dialed in beautifully.

Yeah, after $650 for that intake since it's the only one I could find for a harrop sc (tried and returned 2 others before finally going down that route) I think I'm gonna have to get that tune and (hopefully not) fuel rails and injectors to keep it balanced out.

I'm jelly, wish I had the time. Knowing this I think you'll be happier going with OTT. You'll need a wideband if you don't have one. John will walk you through the rest.

It took about 3 days to get it in and Chris from harrop was always helpful for my sticking points. Sounds good man, I appreciate the info. Semper Fi

You should budget for injectors. The stock truck tune is not supercharger worthy, nor are the stock injectors, even with a "stage 1" setup. The injectors are probably already maxed out and leaning out, as well as the truck pulling timing due to knock. Regardless if you keep that intake or not, you should get a tune.

Swapped back to OEM intake- running smooth and shifting fine now.
