    None yet, but soon..
Good Morning, I am trying to find out the best way to remove hard water spots from my truck windows. I have tried the vinegar/water & newspaper, windex, etc.. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove them without damaging the paint? The water spots came from my tap water when I washed the truck off. Thank you for your help.

Try cutting a lemon in half and rubbing that on it. Then hit them with windex and news paper, but be sure not to do this in the direct sunlight.

    Some.
Go to a local windshield/glass shop. They usually carry a product that is a cleaning/polishing paste. Or go to home depot.
I use A-MAZ on a cotton cloth. Takes some elbow and shoulder work, but it gets it clean and smooth. Works well for cleaning the ghost images left behind when removing stickers from glass.

    This works well.

    Griot's Garage 11049 Glass Cleaning Clay 3.5oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004UQQT0A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_uSiYCb0FTTQHG

Also, Barkeeps Friend in liquid form works great. You can get it at Walmart. (If you use this, don’t get it on your paint!!!)

While the glass is still wet, take a 6" squeegee and a micro fiber towel to dry the squeegee on. It's the easiest, quickest, and best way I have found to do your windows. And avoid doing it in direct sunlight.

We have horrible water where I live. I have used rubbing alcohol. For some reason Invisiglass works really well also.

I use a clay bar with detailing spray, then carpro eraser to deep clean my glass from the outside, works well on water spots. also stoners invisible glass works pretty good with a mf towel for regular cleanings. I have thought of putting a glass coating on at some point. I use whatever last step spray sealant (hydro2, reload, or beadmaker)I'm using on my glass with no issues and great hydrophobic results, just be sure to dry well.

THIS. I used this on my shower glass along with wet sanding at the same time. Miracles happened when I ran the sandpaper across it. Crystal clear. The water was so hard it required a water softener to be installed.

You can try some #0000 steel wool with some light all purpose cleaner, wash the windshield then put some type of sealant on it. Like Adams polishes H20 Guard and Gloss that should help keep the spots off.

I use nothing but Sprayway on my glass now. It is safe for tinted windows and the guy that did my tint uses it. Tried most of the others. Windex has ammonia and not safe for tint.

Stoners invisibke glass works great. Spray it let it sit for a bit and use a microfiber to get it off.

Any car wax you may have will do the job too

Any car polish with meguiars maroon pad and some elbow/hand circular motion of the pad would work. If the water spots does not come off and is that harsh then you can try a medium buffing compound with the same pad as I mentioned above (I mentioned meguires because it is available at most auto parts or Walmart)

I recommend not using anything in the form of a razor blade or sand paper especially on the rear window. It is very sensitive and will scratch and you will find yourself doing more harm than good. The scratch marks may be permanent

If you have really, really bad ones....Car Pro Ceriglass will do the trick....they sell a kit for just such emergencies. I have had to use Ceriglass on a rayon glass polishing pad to get mine off.
