It wasn't a jack specific sale, they had a 25% off one item coupon that worked for badland. I used it to get their 12k winch for 470+tx.

 

They have their parking lot sale going on right now too. Picked up a set of the 3 ton Dayton jack stands for $30.00

Dammit Carl (my trucks name)! My buddy has a cnc plasma cutter and I have some ok-ish cad skills so I made my own mount heavily based off ideas from all the offroad jack mounts I've seen (one in particular that i really liked). Turned out pretty good! Made a few modifications to make it easier to get the jack in and out of the mount, eliminated some potential rattling points, and made use of some cool Alpine straps. The handles rest under the jack. Probably over engineered it with the 1/8 steel plate, but hey, it works!

Still have a few things left to do:
-make bed brackets to utilizes one of the bedframe bolts and a few more holes.
-drill hole in locking strap
-powder coat

 

Also, has anyone tried to see if the Pro Eagle jack cover works on the Badlands one? Was thinking a cover would be nice, and since the jacks are pretty identical, it should fit, right?

 

I would have to find the post but I think someone did try it and said that it didn't fit. I could be wrong though.

 

I'd definitely like to know for sure. Wonder what made it not fit if it didn't. Please keep me posted if you find it. I've looked and didn't see anything on the Googs

I was looking to see if it would fit with the mount.

 

I haven't gotten to bleed the jack yet, but is that's all that's needed before use or do you need to add fluid? I didn't get a chance to do anything with it yet as far as prepping it for our trip but now I need to use it.....don't ask lol.

 

I added fluid and bled it. I’m sure it would work from factory but it’s not hard to add some fluid and bleed it.

 

I have a flat on the travel trailer....thank God it's a dual axle.

 

Tire changed. I forgot I had my bottle jack under the seat still. The flat tire was cause by a dry rotted valve stem. I could hear it leaking when I put air in it

 

I’ve used mine probably 4-5 times without bleeding or adding fluid… seems fine.

 

Same. I've used it several times w/o any bleeding etc and it did fine.

 

On my first use there was excessive free travel in the handle when pumping the jack to lift the truck so I added fluid and bled it, not it works perfect.

 

I bled and filled mine before using it yesterday. Didn’t have small funnel so made a bit of a mess but it worked great for installing the RAS.

too bad jacks are excluded. I know some have said they were able to get away with it but none of my local stores would do it

If nothing else use the coupon to buy jack stands or another item you need. I might grab the 6 ton stands because the 3 ton ones are just not quite enough height for our trucks.
