Milwaukee tools is owned by a company out of Hong Kong. Saying something is Chinese is a dated out of touch response IMO

 

HF is 40 mins closer to me than HD or Lowe’s. That does get them a lot more visits from me.

 

I drive an extra 20 min to HF because the tools are comparable to HD for half the price.

 

To be transparent I have recently been on a kick to replace all my dewalt power tools with Milwaukee for absolutely no reason whatsoever

 

My techs clean out their step bits across the country.

 

They are to blame

 

I prefer to put them against each other death match style.

 

All I see is a hatchet

 

My small limb tree pruner? That’s what it’s normally used for and does a great job, while allowing my hone my barbarian skills.

Looks like they’re finally closing out their old 12k winches. This is a screaming deal on a pretty reliable winch

Having been poked fiercely with steel cables working in my younger years, that shit would never go on my truck. I'll have pay that much or more to replace my rope when the time comes but I've seen too many discarded metal winch lines along the tough trails to ever be interested in one.

 

That the new style with the warn looking control box thing. The one on clearance is the only school plastic box thing. I have no proof but I’d bet it’s the same Albright solenoid thing.

just as an FYI the new style, that you posted, will be going on sale during BF for $279. But 60 bucks is 60 bucks for what I assume to be pretty much the same winch

Ordered the head from matco last night. Not sure I need it, but will be nice to have a big ass ratchet.

Welp, they had one in stock. It’s $219.97. But it’s the display model
And apparently harbor freight is not allowed to sell the display model winches

 

Someone mentioned their Icon line. It’s meant to mirror Snap On from what I understand. Supposedly you can’t tell the difference. Can’t speak to the quality difference, but the price difference is enough for me to buy icon over snap on any day of the week.

That said, you’ll never see me buy anything from Harbor freight that I would have to trust my life with. Like jackstands or jacks. They had a recall on their Pittsburgh jackstands just a few years ago. I’ll pay premium for USA made jackstands/jacks rather than trust anything from Harbor freight.
