I had a coworker in Anchorage who's husband was stationed at Elmendorf AFB. Prior to that he was stationed at Groom Lake. aka Area 51. She had no idea what he was doing. Husband is retired now. He held a high clearance and is using that now with Lockheed Martin. Groom Lake is not your run of the mill base.

 

I think he was the one who dropped off my Prime goodies..

It's interesting to see how American public opinion towards freedom has changed since the Revolutionary War. Thank God for the First Amendment! What people fail to remember is that our "Freedoms" are not granted to us because of the Constitution, they are inalienable, we have them regardless, they are afforded simply by us being in existence.

 

You do realize they are talking about over running a military base don't you? It is guarded by our military. You seem to have glossed over that miniscule fact.

 

The resources being consumed as a result of this stupidity have already been paid for, by the tax payers. Unfortunately, as with any large entity or organization there is always inefficient waste, it is inescapable. I wonder, does this mean someone must always be responsible for something that is inherent in a system (wasted resources)? How do you determine the degree to which an individual is responsible for the wasted resources?
