    Whether one likes them or not;
A decent gun collection must have at least 1 Glock.
And if only 1, a 17 + 1 G17 of the generation of choice, would be the one...:D

    I've never seen a Gen 5 G17 with a baby poop colored G19X plated slide...
    19 +1 is even better..

I saw one Friday at my lgs. The slide looked straight up gold instead of coyote brown like the 19X. They had a 19X with the colormatched tlr-7. I grabbed a 17 gen 3 for $549 otd.

I'd like to get another G19X if they get one that's USA made to go with my Austrian one. I know they're not everybody's cup of tea but I think they're the best shooting 9mm Glock and I like the coyote brown color personally.

Lol, Nothing wrong with that. I do have the G19X and the G17 Gen 3. IMHO, Gen 3 are my favorites. I have the G19 in Gen 3 , and that always comes with me to the range.

I just sold mine to a buddy. For gen 3 I prefer the standard frames over the compact due to the way my fingers line up unless I undercut the trigger guard.

I’m no gun expert but my slide on the G17 is gold not the baby poop color that I also really like, it is cerakoted. I saw a Baby poop G19x in the store today for 579.00 , can’t stop thinking about it. Even my wife is telling me to go back and get it. So I maybe able to post them side to side

Oh OK, it is cerakoted, that's what threw me off.
Not really a fan of baked on coatings, but whatever works for you is cool with me..

    I had a 19X and loved the idea of a 17 frame with a 19 slide.
    Sold it for 3 reasons;
    1. I just couldn't warm up to the coyote color like I thought I would.
    2. The G45 came out, the main reason I sold it.
    3. The gen 5 G17 mags won't fit the 19X unless you change out the base plates.
    I've got a lot of gen 5 17 mags.

I agree on the gen 3 full size frames, the compact with finger grooves doesn't work for me.
Undercut trigger guard didn't help my Gen 3 19, I traded it for a beat up 2-tone West German P226...

    104_0048_9c9c8193cf9b708c1f89a46961063f7a0032e0f0.jpg 104_0045_e0a1a0252d11d3dfffe91964ecb738e80d165427.jpg

Had the P226 refinished by CCR and ended up selling it..
Yep, I've got some issues alright..:thumbsup:

Anyone have good recommendations for where to sell a gun? Other than putting it on consignment at a gun shop? I noticed armslist.com now charges a monthly fee to post or contact people who have guns for sale.

If that's a new 19X for $579 you better jump on it quick. $699 otd here. I think I paid $599 for mine back when they first come out.

Depending on where you are at, local forums (similar to this one but specific to firearms) would be an option. Here in the PNW, we've got one that I do a lot of buying and selling.

Sold it when I found this one.
    1988 West German P226
I always wanted an original WG P226; great condition, stock, proper box, proper grips, paperwork, and test target...

    Matches my 1991 WG P228..
These two are safe queens and I don't shoot them.
Only bought them to eventually give to my kids..
Daughter gets the P228, my son gets P226.

As previously stated, I have issues.
I hardly go to the range anymore.
Not willing to use my current ammo until I can replenish it....

But I'm going to have to go this week while I'm off.
Need to make sure these Shield mags are going to run 100% in the 43X..

Still need to swap the Vickers plastic mag catch for the Shield metal mag catch...

Yeah, I'm in the same boat really. Everything I have right now is in a state of needing to be sighted in or fired for the first time except my P365 and my old Ruger Security Six. I went a bit nuts last year swapping optics, upgrading parts, etc. and now I need to get everything back to being ready to play. I also need to start working on some home load recipes and proving those out...but haven't had time and don't want to diminish supplies with how tough it is to replenish.

I enjoy his YouTube channel and he seems like a stand up dealer. I've not bought or sold anything from/to him, so YMMV of course. He does a weekly used gun review which is really educational and entertaining.
