I had one too a few years back and sold it for a premium to a local cop. Wish I would've kept it now though

Is it wrong when I see that pic, all I can think of is the cost of ammo?:eek2:

    Me too.
I had a Sig phase a several years ago.

I owned several and only Sig pistols.
    P220, P239 (x3), P229 (X2), P228, P250 (I couldn't sell that POS fast enough).

My second handgun I ever owned was factory nickel P229 40cal and I bought a 357sig barrel for it.
    Bought it in 1994.
Traded it in on 2 XD pistols.
Talk about should of kept that one..

Yeah, I had an XD phase too.
But that crappy soft spongy trigger lost it's flavor and I went back to Glock.
Modded the sh!t out of them..

    What was I thinking?

Only Sigs I own now are West German.
Only keeping them to give to my kids, I don't even shoot them anymore..

I’ve currently got a bit of a MCX problem, mostly because I haven’t had time to go out and really test the three I have to decide which one(s) to keep (556 in 11.5”, 300BLK in 9” and 6.75”). And one MPX-K (4.5”) as well.

Half of my Sig pistols are actually home-built. I’ve got one Legion P229 and one P365, and one stripped p320 M17 FCU that have factory SN’s. A second P229, a P220, and my functional P320 are all scratch-built. And I’ve also owned and let go of a P229 Elite Dark, P239, P238, and P938, as well as countless slides and parts for various P320’s and P365’s. Never owned a P226... keep kicking it around but haven’t committed yet. Might do another 80% for that.

Never owned an XD, though I’ve shot several that friends had. Never fell in love with one. Same for Glocks - the only one I’ve been able to really find a reason to own is the P80 I built... I find that I really enjoy building them to understand how they function. I just find I don’t like the grip angle on the Glocks, but the P80 frame works for me.

One thing about building 80% (or less) frames is that there’s a lot more incentive to not get rid of them. If I was to sell them, I’d have to serial them and all that... at least up here.

Wife is out of town, 1lowlife having some beers....

    I found some pics of the 40cal 1994 P229 I bought.
    Second handgun I ever bought.
Coincidentally I got divorced from my first wife in 1994.
She never wanted guns in the house.
She now has her own Taurus something and an LTC.

First handgun I ever bought, fresh from my divorce in 1994, was a Beretta 92FS Inox Italian made 9mm Pistol I have no pics of.

I couldn't shoot it worth a sh!t and traded it for the P229.
Come to find out, it wasn't the pistol, it was the new to handguns shooter..:p

That was back when EVERY cop in the movies had a Beretta 92.
    Yup, I fell for it..

    Understood.

After this and that of 26 years years of handgun ownership, I'm a Glock fan boy.
I used to hate Glocks, because so many people worshiped them.
    Now I'm one of them.

    3e00e19a-2a06-4dd4-860e-3811b3bcacae_zps_4633ec3d86de93d55fe4ef9268a9aae2e0640b0e.jpg

The simplicity of the gun as well as a plethora of availability of stock and aftermarket parts is hard to beat.
My 3rd handgun purchase was a Gen 2.5 Glock 26 that I still own, despite my XD phase.
Gen 2.5, the first gen G26, finger grooves, but no texture on them.

    ede5fcf1-e9c5-42e7-aa5a-7108de0ae582_zps_4ff5b27c3e9bb89c728f79608316f70905a8015e.jpg 16C8537E-9B7E-4044-BEAA-40A28054B78E_zps_89fc18e9e0df85fa4b8897b5c24e85bcfe547032.jpg

The Glock grip angle is a challenge, the main reason many don't care for them.
My Gen 2 and 3 Glocks aim a tad high from the draw, just a small downward adjustment to the target.
I hate the Gen 3 and 4 finger grooves on a compact, but don't mind them on a full sized Glocks.
Love my groove less Gen 2 G19 and G17s.

    104_0416_35630bcca9ec52b1ab64a71ca57cb867b09f7723.jpg

But my Gen 5 G45 is sweet with the additional choice of backstraps.
A G17 grip, sans finger grooves, with a G19 slide...

Post samples show up on gunbroker from time to time. If you get lucky you’ll find one that is from an sot going out of business so you don’t need the law letter.

Very much so. I'm actually sitting at my reloading bench this very moment, about to prep some 7mm Rem Mag brass. :)

I'm a huge Sig fan-boy. Haha. There are several not pictured as well. I really dig FN too. Everything seems hard to find right now. Sig does have a "builder" on their site where you choose the parts and build the gun you want.
A 617 22LR yes sir. I dig it. Shoots the cheapest ammo. ZERO recoil. Fun as heck.

The gun on the bottom in this pic is my 22 of choice though. Suppressed with subsonic rounds. Pistols.jpg

Nice! I have a model 63 j frame 6 shot .22lr that I've had since i was a kid. I'm wanting to pass it down to him and get one of these to replace it with. I prefer the k and l frame size better. Thanks for the feedback![/QUOTE]

I could post forever on this non-Tundra related thread. Haha. I don't have vices(don't drink or smoke) so I bust my ass & buy what makes me happy. I'll leave you with my pride & joy. I had a G30.

Sold 2 months later when the G30S came out.

Bought a G36 frame off GB and ran the G30S slide on in essentially making a G36.
That G36 frame had the worse mag to frame pinky finger bite of any pistol I ever owned.

Ended up selling the G30S and the G36 frame.
