Beware, the 38/357 lever guns that I’ve seen all have weak extractors. Either they don’t extract well, or the extractor itself will break off. Not sure why this isn’t more prevalent in other calibers, but it’s not.

Oh and if you want a gun that works, get a Sons of Liberty Gun Works AR-15. You won’t regret it.

I love RK! The closest one to me being in the southern part of middle TN is in Muscle Shoals AL. Wish they'd open one closer to Lawrenceburg.

My dad passed away back in June. This was one of his favorite handguns. A Springfield 1911 Loaded Stainless Target in 45acp. I got bit by the 1911 bug after he got this one and I ended up with more than he had! 1911s were our passion and between the two of us we have several. I recently modded his recently and decided to share pics of ot with y'all!
Mod list:
-Ed Brown Match profile single side safety (contoured and refinished to match the pistol)
- Dawson Precision fiber optic front sight (replaced the black target sight)
- S&A magwell fitted and blended (refinished to match the pistol)
- VZ Grips double diamond Wenge wood grips (beautiful grain pattern but doesn't show up on camera)
- Wilson Combat bulletproof G.I. guide rod (replaced the 2pc full length guide rod)
- Nighthawk 20lpi checkered guide rod plug
- refinished the frame to rid the idiot scratch and ambi safety marks

 

Newest purchase is a GSG 1911 in .22

Yeah if you can find a real getto blaster for under 3k I would jump on it. Picked up two for $2800 each. They are going for up to 5k on gun broker. Noveske makes good stuff.

 

that is one amazing gun. I have seen someone hiy 8" pie plates from 100 yards with that thing! Stellar craftsmanship!!!

 

Budget build Rifle had to go back to the gunsmith who built it for me for a gas block tightening. Shot 140 rounds through it this time for a total of about 230 since and seems good to go. Now that it won’t go into single action on me maybe I can finish dialing it in outdoors.

Colt Mark IV just back from gunsmith with new safety, Sear and hammer. Kimber still being broken in. This was the 3rd 100 round trip in the 500 round break in. Colt shoots good. Kimber is a tack driver without me really trying too hard.

Probably gonna leave HD duty to my mil spec, G26 and P320. These 9mm 1911s are fun but can be picky about ammo and mags. Oddly both 9mm 1911s ran like Swiss watches off my two refurbished Colt 1911 mags that are probably 30-plus years old, but had trouble with the newer Kimber, couple of my newer Mec Gars, and my newer Colt mag. Round seems to nose dive easier in some than others depending on follower design.

3-4 malfunctions in 65 rnds for the Colt, about 2 in 100 for the Kimber. Kimber has a ramped barrel, Colt doesn’t.

 

Swapped the plastic stocks on my GSG 1911 for some dark rosewood Colt double diamonds. I think they compliment the od green finish as well as give the pistol a less "toy gun" feel. Nothing like the beauty and feeling of real wood!

 

I had posted my guns here, unfortunately they were lost during a recent Camping trip while canoeing. They are at the bottom of a lake.

Went out to the range last week and did a little long range shooting
500 yrds

 

Kansas youth season. My 9 year old made meat this morning img with my (or is it his?) new Walmart Clearance 700 in .243. Not a huge Remington fan, but for $199 hard to pass up.

85 grain Sierra Game King hollowpoint loaded to
About 2500 FPS. Bullet recovered under skin on far side weighing 44 grains (51%). 60 yard shot.
