The bolt on the benelli is butter smooth. We have a few for sale at our gun range/store. Very light. Refined. Top notch.

Just got off the phone with the shop. She doesn’t want to sell it because she wants to build a Glock using it. Which I doubt will ever happen, but hey, I didn’t pay for it so I don’t really care what she does with it.

In other news, have you checked Brownells? They have a huge selection. Not sure if they have anything in stock though.

This pistol, and a new AR with EOtech sight. Pistol needs a new home however. Don't shoot it anymore

Picked this 4" SA EMP up last weekend. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but hopefully it's a performer. Reviews seem hit or miss.

No worries - I've bought way too much from Brownells than I'd like to admit. I have one of their slides but I got it during black Friday. I just tumbled onto this thread and threw it out there but I appreciate you checking into it.

Wife and I got our suppressors approved. First time we've ever shot suppressed and love it! The pistol is almost movie level quiet, probably on par with a pellet gun. Maybe should've bought a smaller suppressor for that but oh well, can always buy more :D

These sites have shortages and things going in and out of stock like everyone else right now, but I’ve been able to find 9, 45 and 556 available there at reasonable prices far more often than the big brand name websites. And I get everything in a week or less. They have quantity limits and not wide selection of bulk deals so they work best if you need a little each of a few different calibers or other items.

From a company in Colorado called Phoenix Weaponry, they're a machine shop and make a lot of suppressors and integrally suppressed stuff. Their suppressors seemed to be on the cheaper end of the spectrum (cost wise), I bought them for my first batch since I know the owner and have worked with them before, and he did a demonstration for me on one of my business trips :D don't know how they compare to other stuff, but I think worth looking into.

Since you mentioned it, Fin Feather Fur is great. Their staff is top notch and treat you like a human as opposed to a number like most big box stores (regardless of department). Been going there since it was a small block building and I could barely see over the counter, now its main store rivals any Cabela's or Bass Pro in Ohio (imo). Good people from the get go in my experience and will keep giving them my business.

Kinda proud of my self. I am a repairer not a maker of things. Saw a YouTube on paracord handle for my style of stock so I gave it a shot. Came out good and tight.

Happy with every transaction, it is one of the last few places enabling me to continue to top off enough to shoot a few more times this year and still be good into 2021. I’m honestly surprised I don’t see more people in this region talking about them in an era when big names like Midway, Brownells and Luckygunner are tapped out 99% of the time except one item in a given caliber that occasionally pops up and disappears again in a couple hours.

Lol maybe I need to delete my prior post and shut my mouth.

I used to own an EMP.
Had Springfield do some work on it.
The rounded butt was my favorite mod, ditching the ambi safety was nice too.
Nice to see yours is already bobtailed.

Sold after 2 years realizing single action for a carry gun didn't suit me.
Probably should have kept it, but at the time I didn't own safe queens, it would make a good now.

Only issue I had was it didn't like remanufactured ammo, only new.
But all my 9MM 1911s had that same issue.

Exactly. Had to get some more Glock mags (last Cabela's order took 6 weeks) went into Fin and bought several of what I wanted with multiple options. Honestly, somewhat glad they don't do more online sales so I can go in and get my necessities!

You guys got me wanting a rifle.
I have handguns, shotguns, a few 22 rifles handed down to me.
    But I don't have a proper rifle.
Looks like I probably should own one, even though this seems the worse time to buy a firearm.

Always considered a lever action chambered in 38/357 only because I have a ton of ammo for it.
Then again maybe an AR, but I dread stocking up on ammo for it, and I know I'll want to dress it up and make it mine.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated..

Not knocking you down, you live in a FREE state. I would highly recommend getting properly setup with rifles and cans as you have more 2A freedoms. Make it your own as much as your heart desires. :infantry::infantry::infantry:

99% of guns boils down to personal preference. Your likes and dislikes will be your biggest determining factors for the type of rifle. That said, what is your intended purpose for the rifle? Plinking? Hunting? Defense? Long range?

    More of a SHTF rifle.
Ranges around here are too small for rifle rounds.
I'd have to go to friend's place 2 counties over and practice with it..

Always wanted a lever action, being from Texas and watching westerns.
I know if I got an AR I'd want to put too much money in it..

Bit of a conundrum there. For a SHTF rifle the go to is going to be an AR, or AK platform. It's what they were designed for. If you were to go AK in the 7.62x39 it keeps ammo costs down, and may not be as tempting to mod out. The round performs well out of short barrels too, if you wanted to get a pistol version with a wrist brace.

A lever gun (which I love) is going to be better suited for hunting and plinking. The way the lever swings down makes firing prone difficult without breaking target sightlines, and the motion of it will impact follow up shots. They are fine firearms and perfectly usable, but they're going to be outclassed by some of the modern rifles in a true bad news situation.

You can dump a ton of money into any rifle, even a lever, but you can get some serious ammo savings buy going for rifles chambered in any NATO rounds because of the mass production aspect. 7.62x39 isn't NATO but has also been so mass produced that it's going to be cheaper as well.
