I had a 642 years ago, sold it when I bought my LCP..
I'd like to get another j-frame, maybe a Ruger LCR.

 

370- serial number..
That is old school, mine is the same.
It went back for the recall and all that.



I carry it more than any pistol I've ever owned since 1994.
It is just too easy to carry..
Sent my slide and parts off to CCR for Electroless Nickel / Boron Nitride plating..
Looks as good as the day I got it back so many years later..





Polished barrel, ramp, and guide rod.







Mostly carried in a High Noon Pocket Grabber..
Cargo shorts (any pocket), jeans front or rear pocket, sweats pocket..








Sometimes OWB where is disappears..



Always a spare mag in a Meco mag holder in an off hand pocket.





Sports a Pachmayr grip glove these days..





If I had it to do over again I would skip the CT laser.
But all my holsters accommodate it...

 

That’s a nice piece! Mine just missed being a 3 digit serial number. It also went back for the recall but has proven reliable even though it does throw brass a country mile even with the heavier recoil spring.
I do have an inexpensive pocket holster I use occasionally but my dad made this custom IWB for it before he passed so that’s what I roll with most of the time.

I have one of these I bought back in 2000 or 2001. Actually the second gun I ever bought and still have it! Of course now it has some upgradez

 

Looks quite a bit like mine! Installed the side saddle shell holder, surefire front grip w/light and some Trijicon ghost ring sights. Also upgraded the shell follower and spring. I put one of the recoil absorbing stocks on it which also has an AR-15 style collapsible stock but that need to come off since it's too long ... does work well though and has almost no recoil. Have a shorty stock that will work better that I need to put on one of these days. Guess now is the time!

 

Put some fetureless furniture and a compensator on the build today so I can run a standard mag release and my 30 rd mags.

Is the other a GA on a R700 with proof?

 

It is a Surgeon with Proof built by SAC. The other isn’t built by GA but it is a R700 with proof as well. Surgeon is a .308 and R700 is a 6.5CM (which is for sale...)

WOW!! Old school pre-lock. I've recently been wanting a 686+ in either 3" or 4" but after buying some Method wheels for my wife's 4runner this week that is now on hold .

The Colt is an oddball gun, cheap impulse buy to get my first taste of the 1911 platform a couple years ago. Un threaded 6 inch barrel in a 5 inch gun. No gun shop owners have been able to look at it and tell me for sure what the last owner’s plan was. Someone was maybe trying to get a little more velocity or setting up to eventually add an accessory they never got around to. Debating just getting it cut back down. Has a nice trigger job but the gun is rather ammo sensitive so its time with me could come to an end soon if a different 9mm 1911 catches my eye.

The black airweight is my newest purchase. I’ve only swapped to Hogue grips, the sand colored ones that come on it are fugly. Waiting for ranges to open to put the first rounds through it. It may end up going in my belly band when I jog as the G26 feels just a tad hefty when I run or exercise with it.

Also have a P320 but didn’t feel like going to the other safe.

 

Short Action Customs built 6.5 Sweede on a Tikka action. She's a hammer, sadly I don't have time to shoot her much anymore.

How do you like the 416 22lr? Been back and forth on it for some time regarding wanting to add another .22lr to my collection.

 

Just got home from the mountains shooting for the first time, I love it!!! Super fun easy shooter

 

Yeah I did full outdoor workout with that little shot in a belly band and it’s so light I had to keep checking to make sure it was still there. Sprints, pushups, pullups, situps. Can probably lift in it when my Governor lets my gym open again.

That’s officially my new outdoor exercise piece. Speed loader arrives tomorrow.
