None yet but just got 20" rims from a limited and am planning on getting more agresive tires and a lift kit after Christmas. Installing running boards now so i guess its starting .
From what I hear and have seen yes the 308 is a good round and I in none of my post nock any caliber its preference and personal likes what it comes down to I have seen guys hit above 1000 yrds with 308 I even know a guy that claims he took down a deer at 1175 yrds with a 308 tika rifle. I am not a number guy by any means I get ammo from my friend he gives me pointers on how to shoot and I have seen the results. If I ask what am i shooting he just tells me 6.5 . I dont ask weight of bullet or powder charge or precision cap it's his blend all I know its I like the results.

A 4 inch group at 1600 yards? That's some serious ninja rifle skills!

At 1000 yards theres like a 9-11 foot bullet drop for a 6.5. But a 4inch group at 1600 yds.

    LOL - try 32 feet at 1000.
This is dialed for my hunting setup.
I’d have to dial back to 3X and check out that holdover :D or click up 110 times
    1,543 inches = only 128 ft drop at 1600 :D

I know I am not the only 1 that knows shots over 1200 yrds are common with 6.5 creedmoor . It's a good caliber and it hits far but it's not every 1s cup of tea just like our truck so I really dont understand the 308,6 creedmoor ,or any other caliber or the need to convince any 1 of what 1 does and the other 1 does not just shoot what ever the hell you own and enjoy.

Also I am a firm believer an keeping my guns as stock as posible. I see a lot of rifles at ranges that are ruger or savage in name only the rifles no longer have of the original parts that came with it. A nice scope is good but anything else it's no longer a regular gun.

I understand that, I own a handful of both. :D

The reason I mentioned the energy was similar between the two cartridges, was because of your range statement. Where the Range Officer was astounded at the power. The power/energy is nothing spectacular. It’s not a high-power cartridge.
I’m guessing you were on the small-bore range (.22LR) and you should’ve been on the full-bore with a 6.5.
Small-bore range is normally 200yrds and less. Many times only 100 yards.

    I love the 6.5 Creed. It’s a great cartridge.

I thought that it was implied and was saying with a tongue in cheek the range is 150 feet long. Come on if you throw a rock hard enough with a sling shot any 1 could drop the targets

Sorry busted four runner on the first post my phone replaced yrds for feet. Any 1 that lives near the san fernando valley or santa Clarita knows what range I am taking about the facilities for the other shooting activities are better suited for their purpose but the rifle range is just tiny in depth.
