Slightly off topic...Got a welder a couple weeks ago and am just finishing a small side table and was wondering if I could use Perma Blue to finish it? Been looking online and it darkens steel nicely for guns and knives, but does it rub off? Don’t want to ruin the couch it’s going to stand next to. I just want a different solution than paint. Anyone used a metal darkener before?

Anyone tried the I Target dry fire system? Only have an outdoor range near me and with the rain, we have been getting and the cold coming, I may give it a try.

That's a beauty. I have had 3 of them. They are a lot of fun. I never hang on to them because I can usually make a few bucks turning them loose. The last one I had I picked up for $2K had a ton of extras. 400 rounds of 50 ammo, 44 and 50 barrels, 5 mags for each caliber, and lots of other goodies. I flipped it for $3500 before I ever got it to the range.

Thank you sir, yes she is a beauty. I quite don't have all the extras you've collected but enough at this time to put a smile on my face. I also haven't had the chance to break her in, but soon. It took about a couple of years of looking at it and holding it in my hand to finally pull the trigger and purchase it, glad I did.

I could sell two of my guns and get LED headlights, LED fogs, and a couple of other mods. Not gonna do that. The guns that I have, I want. There's no need to lose some things to get others. I'll wait. Patience always wins out. It just takes time.

Like I said before, when I get my Scout me and your are going to be talking!!

Have you shot one that was barreled for 6.5 CM yet? It has my interest also.

I can definitely help you with your Scout.

I did not want to add another caliber, but I have read good reports on 6.5 CM M14/M1A rifles... Smith Enterprise can put their 6.5 barrel on your receiver.

Very cool! I still love 308/7.62x51, but I have become a 6.5 fanboy. I have 3 Grendel's, and down to only one 5.56. When I get my scout, I'm keeping it 308/7.62x51. I think having a twin scout in 6.5 CM would be pretty cool. Thanks for the reply.

I've never fired the 6.5, what's the sweet spot length of barrel for the round? What does it do that the 7.62x51 can't? Thanks.

Shoots flatter and drifts less than the 308. Easier to put rounds on target past ~350 yds. Nothing to make me switch, but I wouldn’t pass up a 6.5 if someone gave me one.

308 worked fine for me this weekend.

It sounds like a rural sniper round for LEO and Border Patrol.

Not a bad choice in M14 form.
