Last night I traded my old wheels and tires for an FN510. I was going to trade for an AK47, but that guy bailed. I don't particularly want this pistol. I might take it to the pawn shop and see what they'll offer me, just for fun.

Not a new gun. But, a new holster. I ordered the Xecutive holster with the modwing by crossbreed for my SAR9 9mm. And it was on sale. I ordered this one because it has what I call a sweat guard, where the holster material comes up to protect the slide from body sweat. I’ll use this during hot months and my Multiflex on cool/ cold months. IMG_8557.jpg IMG_8558.jpg IMG_8560.jpg

Been eyeing this pig for my HD shotgun, “pulled the trigger” on my birthday Thursday. Standard Mfg. DP-12. Ran 100 shells through it yesterday. It’s heavy for sure, but impressed with how manageable and reasonable the recoil is for follow-up. LOVE the “chick-chick, pop-pop, chick-chick, pop-pop”.

14 in tubes+2 in chamber=16 rounds of boomstick awesomeness. Was considering the IWI Tavor TS12; very fun to shoot, but ultimately steered away from semiauto for HD.

I have several pistols and shotguns, but no rifles other than a 0.22.

So after thinking about it for a while and looking around, I decided to get a lever action rifle. It seems like a good multi-purpose rifle, and I’ve enjoyed it so far. Found this one used, S&W 1854, .44 Mag with a few add-ons. :)

The Duke was pretty good with that! This gun definitely needs practice.

There was a 45-70 model that I was also looking at, but the bears aren’t that big here, lol. That caliber *only* has about 30 ft lbs of kick, I’ve read.

Awesome thread so far! Here are a few of my personal favorites from my collection. Group Industries sub machine-gun which was my intro into full auto ownership and the concept of waiting a year to bring home a paid for gun, MAC 9 DS (aka poor mans staccato) which shoots way better than any $800 pistol should, Dan Wesson Discretion 1911 without and with Rugged Obsidian 45 suppressor.

I shot a friend's 45-70. The first two rounds were factory, I remember that the factory loads were pretty light. There were a lot of Springfield trapdoors still around, so none of the manufacturers wanted the liability if one blew up.
Then he handed me a hand load and said I made these hot.
It fucking hurt, a lot. So much that I flinched when I shot my .22 next. Never again.

You should try a Thompson Contender pistol in .45-70, it's a blast.
