That would be a good spot to land. Alpine - Nutrioso area has been my go-to place lately.

Its gotten to the point that regardless of what state you live in, you must get involved with as many pro 2A groups as you can. Here in VA, we have the VCDL (VA Citizens Defense League). VCDL is extremely active in pro 2A legislation and fighting any and all anti-gun bills that come to our state house. Gets your friends, relatives and neighbors active too. They are our only hope to for keeping and bearing arms!

And for kicks, a picture of some fun stuff we have around.

Finally made a decision on the optics for my 6.8 Western. Used GovX for some crazy quick shipping and great prices. I'll take it in tomorrow to get it mounted and bore sighted.

Got a Ruger 10/22 Takedown backpacker version for snowshoe hare. It is super-light, only 4.2 lbs. What a difference with my .51 cal airgun, which is 19 lbs w/ scope!

I got a ruger silenced barrel for mine and love it. With subsonic.22’s it’s barely louder than a red Ryder BB gun. No sights on the barrel though. If you’ve got the patience to wait for one it’s worth it.

Picked up my fist magnifier as the 100 yard target is now a blur and I can only get general torso shots anymore without magnification. Probably a gateway eventually to a scope or LPVO.

Sig Romeo 7 and Vortex Vmx3t. They are both Chunky and the battery compartment on the Sig butts right up on the flip button for the Vortex but this won't be where the Magnifier spends most of its time. Probably gonna end up mainly riding my other one behind the much smaller Sig MSR.

    EXCELLENT CHOICE
the 10/22 TD is a great choice along with the magpul backpackers stock. I bought the 10/22 TD tactical solutions model CRAZY lightweight and just fun to shoot.

I was looking to get a scout in .308 caliber for my stalking in the east coast woods, but now I'm thinking more about it and this 10/22 TD fits just right for the purpose. We don't have large apex predators here who may want to try how I taste. For the rest .22LR head shot is enough, just in case if poor thing has rabies and can't run away from a human like a healthy animal does.

They are VERY practical rifles. But man they are just a blast to plink steel with at any distance. Especially my 22/45 with a can. I wore out two extractors in less than 6 months. lol I shoot ALOT of 22. Everyone man, woman and child should own a ruger 10/22 and mark 4.

PXL_20240115_000959215.jpgPut a Noveske flush mount QD on it today. Along with putting a QD on the MLOK up front, hangs MUCH better than 'factory' QDs!

My Ruger LCRx family. I just picked up the .357 a few weeks ago. .22 at top, .22 WMR, 38 Special, .357 magnum.

    LCRx Family-01-NoSN.jpg

Wanted to add a target on the first day of shooting the .357. I touched up the rear sight, it was shooting a bit low (I need to raise it a bit more) with my reloads.

I'm very happy with this revolver (38 Special is just as accurate).
