Ordered a wasatch arms compensator. Idk if it’ll really make a difference shooting, but I think it sure makes it look cool lol

I'd suggest you run a few rounds through it at night, especially if it's a weapon that you'd use for defensive purposes. I don't have any experience w/that brand, but most compensators will give you an unexpected amount of flash when used in the dark or low light conditions and jack up your night vision for quite some time....

They also make the report louder, and dB is a logarithmic scale. So beware of torching one off indoors even if you have to, it’s already going to be stupid loud a comp will make it worse.

OMG is that a sexy firearm?:eek2:
    I've owned and sold a few 9MM 1911s.
My issue was always the thin grip thickness.
I'd bet that would feel perfect in my hand.....:D

Got to figure out which 4 guns to sell to buy that one...

Yeah it doesn’t have the traditional 2011 grip with same dimensions as a 2X4. Being made specifically for 9mm the magazines are not as large as 2011 mags, so the grip on this is about the same size as any other 9X19mm double stack pistol.

I am into it for about the same money as a Staccato C2.

I now know why the first owner traded it though, gun suffered from premature slide lock due to the slide stop lever needing adjustment where the magazine follower contacts it for slide lock. Magazine bodies were smacking it under recoil and ever so slightly moving it, just enough to move the catch up enough to contact the slide stop notch on the slide. Not sure if Wilson Combat would correct for me for free as the second owner so….

Since it’s not my first rodeo correcting that issue, my next range outing was with some very fine files. When I left the range the pistol was running 100% with all magazines on hand. I have 2 more magazines that just showed up to verify function on, and then I can probably call it ready to run.

Now that it’s running the little pistol is a sewing machine. It’s stupid easy to shoot well. Plus… that muzzle… SEXY.

    Very nice..
Reminds me of the EMP that I had heavily modified, and sold it anyway...
I seem to learn things the hard way years ago.
I'm glad I outgrew that phase: buy guns, modify them, and sell them (usually at a loss)....:D

In this instance my modifications were strictly limited to two surfaces on the slide stop lever. I carefully made a detent notch for the plunger to rest in so the lever can’t move freely from recoil forces, and then adjusted the surface I wrote about in my last post. Very very little metal was removed.

Oh, I get it, a little fine-tuning is good.
I had 5 or 6 9mm 1911s and they all needed fine tuning.
They also HATED reloads, every one of them.

Every Glock and Sig I own(ed) gets a 25¢ trigger job right off the bat.

I went thru a phase of buying firearms, modding the shit out of them, getting bored with them, and selling them to buy something else.
It's a phase in my life I'm not proud of.

I had a 9mm Kimber CDP Ultra II that I modded up.
Did the same round butt mod and then some I did on the EMP.
But then the EMP came out and I had to have it.
I bought into the gun magazine hype.

In retrospect, I should have kept the Kimber...
There was NOTHING wrong with it.
It had the same purpose as the EMP, carried each for 2 years..

This particular SFX9 has already digested quite a few of my reloads, but those were the last 150 rounds I put through it after making my adjustments, 125 Hornady HAP over CFE Pistol. No issues at all, shot better than the 124gr Blazer Brass I was using just prior.

Another range outing today. Hot as balls, met up with some buddies so multiple shooters could run the SFX9 after my slide stop adjusting amateur hour gunsmithery.

No failures of any kind, ran like a sewing machine for everyone with a variety of ammo. All magazines: two 15 rounders, and three 18 rounders worked perfectly.

I like this pistol A LOT, it kind of clowns any other 9mm I own.

Now time to source a different RMR or SRO because I want manual brightness adjustments, and a good AIWB holster and strong side OWB holster. Maybe 2 more 15 round magazines.

This girl is THICK!! I've wanted a G21 for a long time but never went out and bought one. A few months ago I ordered a Gen 5 on Gunbroker that somehow didn't make it from the seller to me thanks to UPS so I was refunded and found this Gen 4 locally. The recoil is hard to explain without experiencing it. She literally pushes your shoulder back with each round, I did a fairly quick mag dump and after 13 rounds I was leaning backwards. Pictures to compare to a 1911 and a G17.

We used to joke that the top of the slide on those things looked like an aircraft carrier...

Now you need to grab a Glock 20 and run some hard cast (dangerous game) rounds through it; such as Underwood or Buffalo Bore. Most of the dangerous game rounds are coming out of the muzzle on the 10mm w/about 600-700 ft lbs of energy, which makes for a completely different shooting experience... Then you go back to your G21 and the .45 will feel like butta' :D

Been wanting an H&K USP for awhile. Had planned on getting a 9mm since most of my guns are 9s. But after reading how great of a shooter the .45 version was and that it was a great suppressor host decided to look for one in .45. Ended up settling on the .45 tactical since it already came with the threaded barrel and has a match trigger. After months of browsing, found one at what I thought was a great deal, so snagged it!

Recently got the opportunity to test the Vortex warranty on this Venom…didn’t survive being accidentally dropped onto a hardwood floor.

    Verdict:
    Not a great optic.
    But great customer service.

Recent pick up from the show. This is a Howa M1 carbine made in Japan for the Thai Police force. Howa was hired during the occupation to perform in country maintenance. They were supplied with machinery the ordinance department owned after WWII.

I really want another da/sa weapon, I sold a P30sk about a year ago because I didn't like the size. I'd like to replace it with a P30 or USP but I've gone on a crazy Glock kick.

Just ordered this today with the leupold delta point and per staccato there saying 150-180 days, is this honestly what I should expect ? I'm ok with that just wondering if you got yours faster than that ?

I just shot the staccato this weekend that thing is sick I love it crazy accurate
