The latest addition, SP-01 tactical. My first all steel handgun other than my revolvers and it sure is hefty!

Whatever this forum told me to do
Tl:dr – quality guns are better

My 1st pistol was a gen 2 G19…back in early 90’s. (I still carry this gun)
I’ve shot and carried Glocks ever since & still do. They work.

It wasn’t until recently that I was able to acquire “nice” handguns.

This weekend I took the Stacatto out to sight in the red dot.

The Staccato P is a shooter. It is leagues better than the lightweight glocks.

The recoil impulse is next to nothing. You are ready for 2nd shot immediately. And it is quite balanced.

I can now appreciate this after many years of shooting lightweight polymer striker pistols.

yes, 2011's are too heavy to carry, but awesome to shoot.

After I sighted it in…I mounted the new suppressor.
I don’t care for all that weight out front. Seemed odd.
    It was damn quiet tho.

Then I mounted a compensator to my G34.
    I’m damn good with a G34….who isn’t?
Well, that tightened up the shots for sure….but man, it is not a good as a hand made 2011.

Most of y’all already know this about quality handguns, but I am just waking up.

    Feels good.

I'm still early to the firearms scene, but I really like shooting 1911 style pistols. Just the weight helps mitigate recoil. All in all, I just like the feel of steel, the clack of the action, the weight of it. I couldn't imagine carrying one EDC though.

20230110_011343.jpg 20230110_011146.jpgI've had the P365 XL for a while now but decided to pull the trigger and get the Macro. I thought 13 + 1 was impressive in the XL but the 17 + 1 is what sold me on the Macro. Just when I've convinced myself that I own enough Sigs off I go to get another one.

Is the grip on that as big as it looks? and is that 5”?? Looks like a nice pistol

I read up on it and it is 4.6”. I’ll have to find one and check it out??

Probably lol. It is a full size 9mm. 4.6” barrel. Thanks, it is indeed very nice and it shoots fantastic. Not that they’re super cheap, but comparatively it is a very high quality hand gun for its price compared to some competitors. Here are the specs if you’re interested. https://cz-usa.com/product/cz-75-sp-01-tactical/

Got myself a nice birthday present over the weekend :). Does anyone have experience with the Glock 43 mag plate extensions? I was trying to find the most compact solution while adding at least 2 rounds to the capacity. I looked around and settled on the MagGuts +2 kit as it adds just 1/4” over the standard flat baseplate height but increases the capacity by 2 rounds using some kind of sorcery. It hasn’t arrived yet.

The Magguts ones get good reviews. You can also look into Shield Arms magazines for the Glock 43. Their mags hold nine rounds without modification to the mag. You do need to buy their mag release because their mags are metal and the factory are polymer. There are mixed reviews on SA mags but I've had nothing but positive experiences with them. I have them for both my 43 and 43X.

Thanks for the feedback! I did see those last night after I had ordered the MagGuts. I guess I’ll see how I like it and then maybe do one or the other for a spare with extra capacity as well.

Got to bring home the newest addition to the collection a couple weeks ago. 270 days for this one. It's going to live permanently on this setup. Rugged Razor 556. Shot it for the first time this weekend and it performed well.

Just scooped a Benelli m4. Ran it through a shotgun course in southern Washington, to get acquainted, and holy crap its amazing. Put about 250 rounds through in just the one day.

It's the h20 model, so it does have a cerakote coating on it. I got it mainly for looks, but it does have some protective properties. Not quite as protective as the NP3 originally, so I hear.
