Finally got a chance to take all 4 of the guns dad gifted me to the range and the results were...surprising.

I thought the Hellcat would be my favorite and regular carry, but its so small and my accuracy sucks with it. Also thought I'd HATE the FNX because I don't usually like anything 45. Its now my favorite, and most accurate. Still a bit heavy and bulky for my tastes though.

    From most to least favorite:
    1. CZ 75 D Compact
    2. FNX-45
    3. Glock 45
    4. Springfield Hellcat

Anyone have an experience with red dot or holosights that work well on a shotgun?
I’ve had the cheap Bushnell one for awhile and it still holds zero but the dot is starting to bleed and the brightness doesn’t change much like it used to.

im currently running a Holosun 508 on my FN shotgun…no loss of zero or issues yet but I don’t shoot it much and I can’t find any info online about how tough the 508 is supposed to be…I like the ring and dot reticle for shotgun use or else I’d have put an RMR on it

These aren’t mine, but I thought you fellers might enjoy... Short Action Customs precision rifles in .308 and 6.5x47 (near). Ringing steel at 800yd is so satisfying.0F011C70-5E5D-4306-A75A-11E5C657C2C0.jpg

I'm fortunate to be able to shoot at Quantico every weekend. Here's a video from my TriggerCam showing the AXMC in 300PRC shooting a 2/3rds IPSC at 1,000yds on position 42. If you look closely to the left as the video starts (position 40), you'll see a guy breaking a clay pigeon target at 1,035yds with his 338 Lapua Magnum. You can also see the 300PRC round dropping into the target from the "2" in the 42 target number.

When my grandma passed away, my family and I inherited a few guns.

I ended up with this ol’ girl and some extra grips and holsters. Smith 629 8” 44 Magnum. I thought the camo Pachmayr grips was so 80’s era. I kinda like them haha.

Believe it or not, this was her favorite gun in her and my grandpas collection.

My grandma was definitely more badass than yours.

I love 75’s. Kind of a 9mm underdog these days in my opinion. Overlooked.

Picked up the new Springfield Operator today. This is my second 1911, the first a stainless Kimber TLE that I bought in college and had no business doing so. I sold it within a few months but have had the itch ever since. I was eying the Garrison but really want a TRP, notice this was just released and the LGS happened to have one so I jumped on it.20220110_161852.jpg

I really wish SA would use this slide on the TRP Operator. I had one but can't stand the bull barrel and goofy takedown. I also prefer the Novak style sights as opposed to the bomar that it had. That's a sweet gun you have there Chad! I'm a huge SA 1911 guy

I'm running a set of Herrett's HB-1 checkered grips in cocobolo but unfortunately that wood has been discontinued. I do have a spare set I can send you. PM me a mailing address and I can get those out to you

Added a few things to the mistake. Sig magwell, Grayguns magazine base pads ( stock base pads won't work on extended magwell) and a Trijicon. Now just need to find some suppressor hight night sights.20220112_023111.jpg

Bruce Gray is the man. Excellent parts and customer service.

No plate under the RMR? You should get a plate from my guy Roger over at Forward Controls Designs. It provides a solid base for the optic to sit on and a better mounting system than just bolting it to the top of the gun. He also sells many other quality parts for other firearms as well, though it’s mostly for the AR.

I see some CZ fans in here. Just got my wife a P-01 Omega as her carry (I've got a "regular" P01). Also have an SP-01 and 97BD. On a side note, anyone heard about a release date on the Dan Wesson DWX compact??
