$25 per 1000 is a great price, i normally have paid between $30-35 per 1k. I picked up a 357 almost a year ago and have only been able to buy 400 small pistol magnum primers at $8 per 100. I am not paying $120+ per 1k that some people/places are asking.

I got the brass casing, they have deals on there for 200rds steel casing with mags or BCG for $160.

I see a few places still aren’t budging on pricing but palmetto is really good right now for discounts post covid.

I ran 50 rounds thru her yesterday making for a grand total of 400 rounds so far. It has been cleaned 3 times total. It also got rained on yesterday. I can't see any difference since day one. Worst case it does mess up it'd take maybe a minute to touch it up. I definitely recommend this method. The crayon I used was a Crayola.

I have a lot to learn about AR style rifles. This is my first. Ruger, 5.56. I added the foregrip, bipod and sight. (They were on sale. Sue me :p)Unsure on how to removed the front sight without fucking up the gas tube... any tips welcome from you sex-perts!

What are you trying to accomplish by removing the fixed front sight?

By the way, I've got an AR556 myself, and the thing is solid. It's a good entry level AR.

And yes. I've only put about 130 rounds down so far with the "OEM" sights. Does well, feels well, looks well.

In my experience, it can be more trouble than it's worth removing the fixed sight. It's a lot easier starting with a flat top "optics ready" upper than converting a traditional upper. It's all personal preference though. I like the fixed front sight to co-witness my red dots with. A good mount for your optic can add the additional height you may need. Here's one of mine with a LaRue mount on an aimpoint that's co-witnessed with the front sight.

Keep the fixed front site and get a riser for your RDS.

You need to figure if you want absolute or lower 1/3 co-witness and pick a suitable mount.

No thanks Mr. ATF... why the hell would you be posting up pictures of your guns? I lost all of mine in a very traumatic boat accident. I am the President of the Texas Handgun Association, and a Texas LTC Instructor... please note IF or WHEN you ever need to shoot someone EVERYTHING posted on social media can and will be used against you in court. Unless you have unregistered guns, why does it matter? I mean the government knows what you have already anyway if the guns are registered.

There are Rules of Evidence that judges are supposed to follow in determing what can be admitted. Check out FRE 403.

You're free to do as you please. It's not just the government that would like to know where all the guns are. What state do you live in that has a gun registry? Most states do not.
