    I'm pretty sure that's a Great Day Center-Lock.

Not that I can tell. Great DayCenter-Lock does not mount this way. They have Bolts and nuts in the middle that separates the ends and push them into your truck.

I have an AR and a few other firearms......but for the life of me I can’t understand why anyone would want to mount it that way. No concealment at all - not to mention the fact that I wouldn’t just be driving around with my AR mounted to the roof. Not trying to be judge mental or start an argument but just my opinion.

An AR carbine fits fine underneath the rear seat. I wouldn't want that in sight of Johnny Law if it was me. Just another reason for them to get all anxious and shit and cap your ass. Mine is just a cheap Bushie A2 so not going cry if it got stolen

It's a lock'er down safe. And no firearms are normally stored in it ... mostly just use it to store iPads and other stuff while on road trips when we stop or when the truck is parked for a while when I go kayaking.

I live out in Gods country in NYS
I drive through little want to be cities thinking they are in the hood. I get it.

Lucky for me it is express lanes only.
I just wouldn't put it in plain view like that.

Might as well leave your wallet out as well.

Why not. Just curious. I use one as well and feel fairly confident as to the security.

I don’t know why they don’t meet the specs but for me I have to have it to legally store a gun in my vehicle

I just throw it in the back seat and take it with me when I get out. I don't leave guns in vehicles that I'm not in, and the whole point of taking it with me, is that I have it with me. Leaving in my truck defeats that purpose.
