I'm running 37s. Fighting the urge to get a supercharger, but I may at some point give in. An installer told me that if I were to get it supercharged, go with 4.88 gears. Otherwise, no supercharger, 5.29 gears.

    Thoughts??

I don't know squat but I'd match the gears to the tire size, not the hp. Supercharged or not, at highway speed, going up a slight grade, I'd prefer the tranny remain in 6th gear and not be downshifting for the slightest of inclines. That's just me though.

Only know 1 person with them, 4.88, but no issues. Mine get installed on 10/8, if anyone can break them chances are it will be me.

I don't personally know anyone with Revo gears. But, this sounds like a great deal and if I didn't already have gears I'd be doin' it w/o hesitation.

This is tempting. Have a buddy who lives an hour south who I already wanted to visit for a dyno run, then get gears afterwards? Sounds like a party :D

I was thinking that, but was worried giving them full throttle abuse straight out the gate would be detrimental. I'd for sure get the REM finish, but is that enough to safely run them hard with like a hundred miles on them?

I opted for REM finish, but told it still requires breaking in, just cuts it in half basically. So no, from what I’m told wouldn’t run them hard with 100 miles on them. I see the local shops that advertise no break in REM gears running re-geared vehicles on jack stands, so not too hard to conclude heat cycling.

I’m personally going to do at least 500 easy miles before any off-roading or anything like that. Then after my fluid change I’m sendinnn it

Just drive around the hood a few times and let it cool after the short bursts. You can fully break in gears in about 10-12 hours if you’re fully dedicated to the task.

Wait does Bremer run these? I haven’t wheeled with him for a hot minute since we moved to Ohio, but when we’re in AZ we wheel together on the regular. I know he’s abusive so that’s a pretty good testament to their strength.

    Good to hear, thanks!
