does this version of the harness not dim the DRL's when you turn the parking lights or headlights on? meaning the DRL's are full bright all the time?

Depends on which model tundra you have. Platinum/1794 dims like factory. Other trims are bright all the time.

I have an SR5 and have done this mod here's what you'll get

Lights off-drl's on bright (no amber drl's if you depin or cut the gray wire in the cab)
Parking lights on-drl's dim still no ambers of you cut the gray wire
Low beams on-drl still bright, low beams on
High beams on-drl still bright, high beams on

I went with the ihacker harness. It comes with another relay and more wiring and it allows the drl's to dim when the lights turn on, just like factory.

What he said. Though my harnesses includes the Motocontrol harness unlike ihacker. From TRS its another $35+tax+shipping.

My harnesses also comes with 3 year warranty and full replacement.

SR5, Limited, Pro, TSS does not dim. (A relay could be added but it will also bring the cost up. 98% of people do not care if it dims or not which is why I left this feature out. Though the dim wire can be attached at no extra charge for those want to install the relay to dim themselves)
Platinum/1794 models dims like factory.

FYI, I just fell in love with these lights last week when I saw them lit up in darkness. I had to do tricks on the freeway to pass, then let the other pass me, for repeated views: pretty!

I'm poring over the forum, but don't understand wiring well and so I'm not understanding some of what I'm reading, especially regarding any splicing I'd have to do, and what the "drl" and dimming is about, and whether installing these and having them not do something they would do if installed at manufacture, will cause me problems (earn me equipment violation tickets) in CA?

Will doing this void my factory warrantee?

Is the operation of 2018's different with these plug n play harnesses than if installed by Toyota?

Anybody willing to do a "drl for dummies" cliff notes version, to bring me up to speed?

I have a 2015 platinum - if your harness comes with the motocontrol and is completely plug and play then please count me in as well. could you also please include an install instructions link for the motocontrol and what is the price for a harness for each headlight along with motocontrol?
