If they’d put it in a functional bottle maybe.

It’s a shame because the cleaner works so damn well. The last bottle I bought, I poured into a different spray bottle.

That was a great video. My 3-in-1 has held up great with a weird winter here. Still had some single digit low temps, but a bunch above freezing as well. Each time I needed to, the salt brine just rinsed right off. Very happy with the Griot's!IMG_0845.jpg

Going thru a Minnesota winter the 3 in 1 has held up great. Still beads up really nice. Putting on a couple of coats last October really helped. Can't wait till its warm enough to hand wash the Tundra. Hopefully in the next month.

So its been a month since I applied the 3 in 1 and I have only soap washed it one time a few days ago. It has rained a couple times a week and she lives under these oak trees. With a rinse and especially after the soap wash the water beads off like crazy as good as the day after the application. Pretty amazing as a 4 model year old truck. The other story is the Wise Guy by Shine Supply....I only thought I was getting the wheels clean before this stuff, man it cleans and makes the black wheels pop better than any soap I have tried. Cleans the tires and wells very well also. I think the second treatment will have them like new as there was a little bloom left on the corners of the lugs of the tires. Thanks to you guys for all the helpful info on this forum!

Awesome.....just out of curiosity...what brush are you using the clean the tires with? I use the Tuff Shine brush, but when I do a vehicle that has tires like yours, I have a narrow stiff bristle brush to get into those small areas.

So I am at the end of the chemical guys citrus wash and gloss (that I bought before all of this knowledge was dropped on me). What to go to next for the foam cannon that wont bother the griots and works contactless and the occasional contact wash?

I have yet to find a soap that works as a contactless wash....unless you're talking about rinsing off dust and/or pollen. Car Pro Reset is at the top of the food chain as far as car soaps go. There are some pre-wash soaps, which come closer to touchless, such as Bilt Hamber's new Touchless, and Car Pro Lift. They help break down road grime, but even they do not remove all of it.

all you sons-a-bitches "made" me spend over $1,000 bucks at griots garage this month!

    THANK YOU!!!

BIG THANKS to @briarpatch, @Swfltoyomafia, @War Machine, and MANY others. have learned a TON from everyone here in the detailing threads.

items purchased, all from griots garage - synthetic clay, waxing pads, correcting pads, finishing pads, poly-wax, g8 random orbital, gallons of foaming poly-gloss, speed shine, rubber cleaner, and microfiber towel / pad cleaner, multipurpose platform (modified to get me 25" in height without wobble), one step sealant, boss foam cannon, and a metric shit-ton of microfiber towels (have a combination of about 40 of the PFM microfiber towels).

who said this was a rabbit hole!?

so excited to use all these products, that i'm not interested in the 3 in 1 ceramic, just yet... mostly, because i truly enjoy the clay, wash, dry, wipe, wax, shine process. i may apply another coat of wax again on saturday, just for fun...

i will try it though, along with their ceramic wash and ceramic speed shine when the time is right.

loving my beer / garage / make tundra shine time.

gliding my fingertip across smooth / slick paint is beyond gratifying.

anyone else purposely sneeze on their fender, just to bust out that speed shine and their favorite PFM microfiber? asking for a friend... :anonymous:

i, i mean my friend, may have a problem...

I ended up with two bottles from my pep boys haul.

Sounds like you use 4oz in a foam cannon....bottle should last a decent amount

I got some of the Ceramic Speed Shine the other day. I’ve only tried it on a couple of panels, but it seems too “grabby” for a detail spray.

I've heard that said about some of the ceramic coatings....was wondering if this product had the same characteristic. I typically only use the regular Speed Shine as a clay lube. My go-to product for quick detailing is Ethos Defy

So I just used Griots Ceramic Wash & Coat for the first time.
I gave the truck a quick spray down with just high pressure water.
I put 4oz in the foam cannon (it holds 20oz total) and topped it off with water.
I kinda thought that it would suds up a little bit better, this was after about 20seconds after spraying it:
    PXL_20210427_020033139.jpg
It sprays out a little foamy but is almost instantly gone and just leaves milky fluid. I'm not sure if I that's how it is, or if the coating of 3 in 1 I used on the previous wash just made it run off.

The truck wasn't super dirty so it worked decently as a wash, but I feel like it might be better as a rinse than a wash.

    Anyone have any similar experiences?

No experience with that soap......but that foaming performance is typical of any of the ceramic wash soaps....with the possible exception of Dr Beasleys version. Based on the reviews I've head/seen, it does seem to foam up a little better than the others. The description on Griots website says its "low sudsing"

Sorry to ask this question on a wash experience...

How do you like your retro Rx350 lights? Were they hard to fit in?

If thats the case, seems like its going to work best as a post wash rinse. It made water bead up just as good as the 3-in-1.
I didn't retrofit them, there was a member on here that wanted the 2018+ led's and had these professionally done. Made me an offer on them that i couldn't refuse. The light output on these things are freaking insanse!.

Lucky man! I really like the look of the "demon eye" if that is the correct words to use for those.

How strong are they... enough to be getting pulled over all the time..??

I haven’t tried that one, but have had similar experience foaming a truck with 3-in-1 on it. I use CG Honeydew for foaming, and it usually does great. It ran right off the truck with 3-1 on it.

I used to be into the retrofit game about 6ish years ago, and the lexus rx350 was only second the the lx460 projector. The cutoff is nice and wide. I have never had a person flash their high beams at me because i was blinding them. Having the adjustable headlights makes it really nice.

People that throw hid or led kits into their stock reflector lights are the ones blinding people.

Wednesday I did my annual strip, decontaminate, clay, correct, and seal. Yesterday I applied the 3-in-1, which I do twice a year. I applied the second coat of 3-in-1 this morning. I’ve been using it for about a year and have done only two applications, both double-coat. In-between I use Griot’s Best of Show Detailer as a topper, with a pH-neutral wash whenever I hit the forest roads (usually once a quarter). I’ve found, for me, it’s been the best regimen for keeping the truck hydrophobic and clean. The 3-in-1 even makes super white reflecty without the topper.

Very nice.....your regimen is producing some awesome results. How is the slickness with that Best Of Show Detailer?

Hmmm, would Beadmaker be a good point of reference for you? If so, I’d say it’s pretty close to being as slick as Beadmaker, which I used for a few years. I just switched to the Best of Show because I read a bunch of reviews about it being close to as good as Beadmaker and Speed Shine, with the added benefit of it being formulated to be applied in the sun. I do miss the Beadmaker sometimes though, but I ain’t gonna lie, not enough to go back due to OCD and/or laziness with buying all my stuff from one place

Thanks for the reply. BeadMaker is the perfect reference.....I've not used anything that matches it for slickness......sure would be nice if it lasted longer. The closest I've come to it, as far as slickness, is Ethos Defy. Will be trying the Griots stuff as soon as my gallon of Defy runs out. Defy lasts longer and is more versatile that BeadMaker.
