I'm no expert but I'd say there is a good chance that the 3 in 1 will help make those stains easier to get off next time.

I used the clay and 3-in-1 yesterday. the synthetic clay is interesting, fairly easy to use. I just give a couple sprays of speedshine and went over it with the clay. Gave it another wash and then hit it with the 3-in-1. Shining like a new penny.

Nice work. I really like the synthetic clay as long as the surface is not that bad.

Yeah it wasn't bad at all. Kinda bum'd you can see all the dirt it pulls off like the normal clay does, but it makes up for it in ease of use and surface area.

Sounds like synthetic clay was the right choice then.

Would there be a benefit to using a ceramic polish prior to applying this 3-1? I see Griots doesn't have a ceramic polish. Anyone think using Turtle Wax ceramic polish under this would be worth the elbow grease and time?

TW Ceramic Polish is their new(ish) AIO. The majority of AIO's do not give you longer term protection, so stacking them might help with that. I might be more inclined to go with a dedicated polish if it's necessary, and then a panel wipe down and then the Griots

I have found you to be thoughtful in the reviews you wrote, intelligent and experienced. But working in a laboratory since 1979 I have to disagree with that statement.

Working in a lab, both myself and the people that reported to me had to handle numerous chemicals. The SDS were always read and and kept on file. They let you know what precautions were needed and the proper PPE.

Are they a hoax? I don't believe so (my opinion). I know for a fact they were useful to protect lab workers from harmful chemicals. Plus they they are referred to when someone had side effects from a chemical they were using. Here is link to the SDS Griots 3 in 1. Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax SDS 12-05-2019.pdf (griotsgarage.com)

Read it, it may prove that it is not as harmless as you thought.

That was a comment in relation to an inside joke at the time between myself and @Swfltoyomafia . That said, 1979 has been scientifically proven many times over to have been filmed on a sound stage in El Segundo, CA by aliens, so I have to disagree with your statement.

Sorry for the hijack and getting back to the original post.... My son got me the 3 in 1 for Christmas :).

On 12/28 the weather will get close to 50 degrees. I'll wash the Tundra and Corolla and give them both the coat. If the weather holds, I'll try for a second coat.

I wrote to Griot's and asked about temperature was ok to apply stating Monday would be 49 and Tuesday 37. They replied:

"The temperatures I'm seeing in your email are perfectly fine for applying ceramic in. That being said, I would try to apply it when it is warmest out, because around temperatures below 45 degrees or so the ceramic begins to smear a bit."

Keep an eye on daytime temps and see if you can match up your application time with the warmest time of day. The sun is not nearly as intense right now, so application in direct sunlight should not pose much of a problem. It will be in the 60's for me on Friday....just need to get the truck washed before the rain starts.

Put my ceramic wax job to the hardest tests it's had recently. They salt brined the roads in MD last week. Truck got a little crusty from the road treatment. We only got rain, no snow, and the rain just washed the road brine treatment right off. Water continued to bead up nicely. Sorry, no pics!

    Some thoughts....

    1) sprayed on and wiped off. I thought to myself, it can't be this easy.
    2) the bottle says use in small areas. Listen. Got too confident and sprayed the entire hood of the Corolla. It started to set up a bit and became a bit streaky. My fault, not the products.
    3) Today it is 48 degrees. I have a feeling this stuff is easier to work with in cool weather.
    4) There is a noticeable increase in shine.

Wonder how long it will last.

    Thanks for the excellent recommedation.
